After reading the reviews for Smith Piping, I know I'm justified in my negative review. Like the others, I was also ripped-off by Tim and his team. Devon arrived 4 hours late to my house only to spend less than 10 minutes resetting my pressure tank switch. I lost 4 hours on my paycheck because they "forgot about me." - exact quote from Tim. I would strongly reconsider using this company for any of your plumbing needs. I'm sure there are businesses in Minerva who practice under good business ethics and respect and decency to their customers. I would suggest looking further than Carrollton for all your plumbing needs. I must have spoken the truth to engaged your response. First, you were not at my house months ago. It was over a year ago, for a "quote," on a well pump, that you insisted was the problem. Not only the first time, but also the second time I called you. Consequently, your story has changed to a pressure tank. Could it be because I knew the pressure tank was the problem initially? Second, you did not wait for over an hour for me, because my son and my boyfriend were home. Actually, when I arrived Devin was in the basement looking at my pressure tank. If they waited for over an hour, how could they have entered my house??? Third, you speak of other service calls, which can result in a late arrival. You told me Devin would be at my house between 7:30-8:00 am. When I called to inquire of your tardiness, your exact words to me were "we were all sitting at the table this morning, thinking, 'I know I'm forgetting something.'" Tim, you will get your undeserved $100.00, but you should probably get your story straight before you post it on a public review of your own company. Great business practice!!

Your bill was $100 which is a minimum service charge call. You had no water and now you have water. Months ago, we came out and told you that you needed a new pressure tank and we gave you an estimate for the pressure tank. We didn't charge you for that service call, assuming you were going to call us to replace your pressure tank. So, that was a free service call from us. You had someone else come out and put a switch on and it temporarily fixed the problem. Months later, you called us again because you had no water. Why not call the guy that supposedly fixed your issue before? We came out AGAIN and told you that you needed a new pressure tank AGAIN and you still didn't want to pay for a new pressure tank. Devin explained to you that this will keep happening to you unless you replace the pressure tank. He also physically showed you what you need to do to fix the switch. And you still need a pressure tank. You did not need to take off work as there was another adult there at your home when Devin was there. We cannot always be there at the exact minute you want us there because we service many people each day and some jobs take longer than expected. That is beyond our control. Not to mention, the first time Devin and Geoff showed up to your house they had to wait over a half hour for you to arrive. Don't bother ever calling us again as you have been flagged in our system and not one of our guys would ever agree to do work for you again. Don't worry about calling a Carrollton plumber in the future. Minerva would be best for you. We know all the plumbers in town very well and have an excellent working relationship with all of them. We talk amongst ourselves. They have been notified of you and you are not the type of customer any business wants. One who is difficult, doesn't take the professional advice offered, and then refuses to pay. Businesses run far away from customers like you. And since you still have not paid your bill, we will see you in court and you can explain your flimsy excuse to a judge.

My neighbor and I had holding tanks replaced as we share a well and both needed replacements. My bill was over $1000 (almost double their estimate) and they refused to itemize bill. Tank alone was less than $200, hours worked @2. Called to get clarification. Just told me they were worth it and didn’t charge me enough. Wow. Also told me the customer is always wrong….exact quote!!!!

We had a septic back up in our basement. First we had miller come pump our tank to see if that would fix the issue. Unfortunately we had a clog in the line. So we called Smith to have a plumber attempt to fix the issue. Unfortunately they guy who showed up was unable to figure out what was wrong and seemed to just bail on the job. He was due to come out the next day. They never called and never showed up. So I went to Grand Rental and got a 100' snake. We were able unclog the line and our lines are working good. Shows me their plumbers are unskilled and very unprofessional. Would not recommend.

We cannot look up your work order without your real name. We would be happy to look into this further if you could tell us who you are.
