  We built a vacation house near Lake Shasta in 2016. Dave from Sentry was very nice and responsive during the bidding process. However, things went south after that. His crew didnt show up to do the underground plumbing. The day before my concrete arrived, my concrete crew had to dig the trenches for drains, etc. Dave sent out two crews in the evening who got it done, but put a couple of drains in the wrong places. I had to tear out part of the concrete floor to move a toilet that would have sat in the basement shower. As we were nearing completion, Dave informed me that his bid didn't include connecting to the water main or connecting my kitchen and bathroom faucets. I paid extra for the house connection (again, digging the trench myself), and did the sinks on my own. The big disappointment was that Dave completely ignored many phone calls I made to his office when the diversion valve on the fire sprinkler system would randomly shut off water to the whole house. After 5 years of fighting with it, I hired another plumber who recognized we had a water hammer issue triggering that valve, and he fixed the problem with an expansion tank. In the end, Sentry underwhelmed. I paid too much and got too little. Service after the sale was nonexistent, and I would never recommend this company.

  See newest update, Have used Sentry multiple times for multiple projects throughout 6+ years, always friendly, and helpful. We even had them install a tankless hot water heater and are still happy with it. I always recommend them to others with confidence. Something I can't always say about some businesses. update, recommend them to a friend, wow, big mistake, they totally flaked out. 1st the guy called on the day of appointment said he had a flat tire, 2nd time due, called up cause they never showed up, to say that they needed to reschedule.... After not showing up, the folks called Earls, came right out, fixed the problem..

  Sentry was recommended by our new propane service provider. The initial service experience started out great. We called and they got someone out promptly the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately the young man they sent for an estimate showed up and said he had no idea what the problem was. He informed us "the boss" would be out the following Monday. No one ever came or called. Realizing the holiday had the potential to be very busy for businesses, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I called them a week later on Friday after still not hearing from anyone. The person on the phone took all my information and promised to have "the boss" call. It is now another week later and no one has contacted us. Sentry may deliver great services to businesses or large dollar estimates. For private residences needing service there is a total lack of communication, follow through, and knowledge (by the person they sent for an estimate). "The boss" never did call or come by so I can't recommend him one way or another. I would recommend pursuing other plumbing options.
