  I have vowed to never use Roto Rooter ever again. For years i was a patron of this company. I used them due to lack of other companies that offered 24 hour service. Now that others offer the same i am glad to let this company go. I have multiple properties that sometimes require service . Their techs most of them except a few are scrupulous in checking out what’s wrong and then spent rest of 3 hours sitting in their van smoking. There is also always an excuse of no parts in their vans. What hurts me is they charge 6% if you use a credit card over phone. Riverside plumbing and JT south east have been exceptional companies that i work with now for reasonable rates based on the scope of work.

  TL;DR THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. Firstly, the woman stated she “hates water heaters” even though it is advertised as being something they specialize in. She refused to look into it and instead just suggested she replace it for nearly triple the market value (a $600 unit they would gladly mark up to 1800 for us). When we declined, she left and sent us a bill for $125 despite never actually checking for a solution or offering anything but a costly replacement. Went to YouTube, found the part for less than $10 bucks at Lowe’s, and it took only 45 minutes to fix. THIS IS A SCAM. I WANT A REFUND.
