After reading the reviews I called and asked for Steve because I have a very delicate situation, my friend also recommended him for my job! Come to find out that he doesn’t work for the company anymore! They wouldn’t tell me where he went too! If anyone knows please message me!

Ok. So I would rather be able to give a five star review but unfortunately this is exactly what happened and I have every email from the company and the texts from my tenants to back up.the information in this review. On December 23rd my elderly tenant contacted me stating the drains were backing up into the house with a terrible odor and brown disgusting matter all over. I was referred to this roto rooter location by the plumber who usually takes care of the plumbing there and has successfully unclogged the drains in the past. But their auger was out for repair. I spoke to Carrie Whitfield who said they could get someone out to the property the next day on December 24th. And here is exactly how she explained the pricing. She said she would need my credit card information in advance. Which I had no problem with. She stated "in writing" in an email which I still have, the charge is $575 for drain clearing for up to a 4" line and 100 foot of drain. Pulling a toilet would be $250 additional if necessary. In the email it does state that the $575 fee is due whether they get the drain cleared or not. It did not in any way state that they would only attempt to the clear the drain for 1 hour. So on December 24th the serviceman came out at 8:30 am. At exactly 9:30 am he called and asked if I wanted him to start a second hour to unclogg the drain. I did not understand the question since he said the drain was not yet clear. So I said, well I need the drain cleared. But I do not understand why you are asking about starting another hour. Are you saying your company charges $575 per hour? He said that was correct. Which as I stated earlier Carrie never verbally told me or put that information in the email I have. The serviceman then stated it would most likely be a waste of an additional $575 for the second hour as he felt that still would not clear the drain. He did however immediately state that for an additional $2,400-$2,500 they would bring different equipment out to clear the drain. And after that, then they would charge me "another" $675 to look in the pipe with a camera. He then stated that might not completely solve my problems and there could be more expense on top of that. So first off it was never made clear that they would only attempt 1 hour and then start charging me $575 per hour thereafter. Then the serviceman is approaching $3,000-$4,000 or more in "additional" costs. Which of course were never mentioned until he was on site with my elderly tenants, which the husband is a disabled veteran. Since I did not authorize the second hour which he said would be a waste of time and did not immediately agree to $3,000-$4,000 in additional work, the serviceman left in his truck without even telling my tenants that he was done and that they could clean up.all of the fecal matter that was all over there floors, which the tenant sent me pictures of. I even contacted Carrie and explained all of this. I explained if she were to speak to a supervisor and see if we could get a straight answer as to why we were not told about all of the "accurate" pricing policy until the serviceman put me on the spot while in front of my tenants, then I would hold off on writing this very accurate and true review. To date, no one has reached out to me and my tenants still have the clogged drain issue, which I will try tomorrow Monday December 27th to find an honest and straightforward company to resolve. If one exists in that area.

Steve was the service man that came. As soon as I told him the problem he knew exactly what it was and fixed the problem quickly. My house is over a hundred years old and the trap was badly clogged. I would definitely recommend RotoRooter to anyone that has a drain problem.
