Had a great experience with RMP Plumbing. They answered my questions at 8 o'clock at night and set me up an appointment for the next day. They arrived when they said they would and were really helpful in explaining and showing me examples of what needed to be fixed. (I called because our gas meter was pulled by Centerpoint and needed an inspection for them to re-activate our account.)

RMP was called out by my home warranty company about a shower that was leaking into the floor below. The plumber took one look at it and in about a minute decided that the leak was due to poor caulking around the shower. He even belittled me when I asked home what else the problem could be! Anyway, that’s an easy enough fix, I went ahead and caulked the edges myself but still saw a leak. There goes $75. Fast forward a month later when I had the time to chase this down , I call out a different plumber to give a second opinion. They quickly realized this was more than a caulking issue and did a flood test to prove it was a shower drain pan rupture. Might be bad news, but at least they were thoughtful and correct in diagnosing the issue. I would not recommend RMP to anyone. With troubleshooting skills as poor as what I experienced, they are likely to have your small plumbing issues turn into several month long nightmares.

Hi, After reviewing pictures in our system it was apparent that your shower had cracked grout and tile in several places. Grout is not supposed to be at corners of tiles. Waterproofing walls and shower basin pans are a must when building a shower. Poor workmanship on these vital components are never approved for repair by your home warranty. Also our technician offered to open the ceiling below for further diagnosis which you rejected as an option, being that repair of drywall was also not covered by the home warranty. His suggestion of caulking the visible issues is a logical start of the diagnostic process when access for further inspection is not available. The flood test will be the next step given the extend of repairs needed in rebuilding the shower from the ground up, hence a ruptured shower basin pan is no small issue and is likely to become costly nightmare. So I personally believe the faulty party here isn't our technician, but rather the contractor used for building the shower. FYI inspect work of contractor used to build the new shower and keep in mind Redguard lifespan is 5-10 years depending on coats applied and workmanship of contractor. Hope this helps

The guy was very nice but he didn’t check the plumbing well and give us a very wrong diagnostic. After I complained, I got the call from the owner of the company and he was very nice and I was impressed he call my husband on Sunday to try to help us to get fix our bathroom. We will wait to see how this ends. Updated: on the second visit, they said was rust and/or corrosion. WRONG!!! the elbow tube was broken. I hired another company.
