  Do not use Riverbend Mechanical. I was recommended to them from another plumber who claimed I would like their work. The other plumber said the guy who runs Riverbend apprenticed under him. If you like a plumber that takes his time in getting to your job, never gets you the estimate you keep asking for, stands around a lot, and then sends you a very non itemized bill that you question charges on then this is the company for you. Summary of what happened: My well went dry. Needed to get on city water as soon as possible, especially with a pregnant wife in the house. Heard a bunch of horror stories about how slow the city was to get a tap in done. The city wasn't my problem, other than costing way to much and a little red tape they had their end done in no time at all. I gave this guy way to many chances and should have switched to a different company the first time he didn't show up. Never got a written estimate or contract. He kept delaying the job, apparently his day starts at 9:00am and ends around 12:00pm or earlier. Took me 3 weeks to get the job completed, if he had done the job the first time he said he would be out it would have taken 1.5 weeks. Non-union shop as well, and he will tell you all about it. He will also tell you how he is the cheapest plumber in town, but how he always sends out 2 people, so while one stands around doing nothing the other does the work doubling the man hours. There are only 3 employees in the company, him, his son, and some lady who works twice a week as his secretary. I was dissatisfied immensely with his service and highly recommend choosing a different plumber.
