  This company is an absolute nightmare! I got a quote for a specific job on my front door. We discussed precise parameters of the repair and it was quoted just as we discussed. After several "no show" dates Robert finally showed up to do the job. Long story short he replaced the glass panels in my door with particle board which warped in a few weeks and used an inferior paint without priming first. He also didn't return my $50.00 gallon of paint that he left with. Returned with a no label can of paint. Paint colors didn't match. After weeks of chasing Robert and his excuses I contacted the owner who came out and promised to redo the job correctly. He never returned. Turned it over to a sub because he was too busy. Honestly the sub did a better job but only replaced the wood panel. I am now in the process of caulking and sanding the inside and outside of the door and sidelight so that I can prime and paint it properly. It would have been less work and expense if I had just done it myself. I would have rated zero stars if possible. Rent A Man is lucky I haven't sued them. Thinking about it.

  Rent a Man enclosed our back patio and added a window and sliding glass door. At first I was impressed with how fast they got the job done. But the more I looked at it, the more problems I discovered. The sliding glass door they installed, which he went out of the way to tell me that it is square and level, is not square. Even with the door closed completely, there is a 1/4" crack in one corner that lets the elements get through. They left a large (about 3/4") gap between the old brick walls and the new walls they added, which I had to remove their trim in order to fill the gap with Great Stuff. They left a tapered gap between 1/4" and 1/2" thick all the way around the window, which wasn't even caulked inside or outside. Everywhere that they did caulk, I had to go back over because it was very uneven and full of holes and cracks. I have had to spend a lot of time redoing the things that I had paid them to do. I would not recommend using this company.

  Set up an appointment 3 weeks in advance and was quoted a price. We rescheduled a doctor’s appointment and on the day of, Rent-a-Man did not show up, did not respond to texts or calls, but left our text messages on “read.” Horrible customer service and completely unprofessional.
