I used Reeh Plumbing in Fredericksburg, Texas to fix a leak. Why did they send a plumber on a leak service call without bringing a leak detector? Reeh plumbing worked 3 hours trying to find the leak before the plumber gave up and left. He came back with a leak detector and immediately found and fixed the leak. The invoice included 3 hours labor for the unsuccessful leak hunt. I am a legitimate customer. I use an alias for privacy.

"Duke Earl" posted essentially this same review on 4/14 to which I responded. Then “Duke” deleted the original post and my response and reposted changing up the wording a little and admitting they use an "alias for privacy." I'll repeat what I said in my original reply. You state we spent 3 hours looking for a leak. We left and returned with a piece of equipment, found the leak and made the repair and, according to your first post, you were charged $300.00 (you left that part out on your second post). So let me get this straight: We showed up, searched for 3 hours as you state (which I can’t confirm because of your alias), returned with a $1700 piece of equipment, found the leak and made the repair and charged you $300.00. This is where I’m confused. We spent 3+ hours and repaired your leak. That’s an average of less than $100.00/hour. I’m not sure if your complaint is that we took 3 hours or that we didn’t bring leak detection on the initial trip or that you were charged $300.00. My problem with this post is you make a public complaint while remaining anonymous. How is that fair to any business when they are vilified by someone hiding behind an alias? Why didn’t you call and speak directly to the office to register your complaint? I would have been glad to speak with you. That’s my job. Wayne Reeh

Mr. Brown, thank you for your comments. In reviewing the ticket our plumber wrote up for your job I too have a few comments. First of all, there is a $99 trip charge to your city which you were informed of and agreed to, when you called in the request for service. Secondly, our plumber, once onsite and after evaluating the job to be done, gave an up front price of $800 to do the repair which you agreed to by initialing on our invoice before any work began. And third, our GPS report for your job shows arrival at 12:18 PM to 1:09pm. Then he returned after getting parts for your job at 1:19 pm and left your location at 2:46 pm. Our total time to evaluate, get additional parts and complete your job was 2.5 hours, not 40 minutes. And once the job was completed you signed the invoice accepting our work. The actual notes from the invoice read: "At back of kitchen sink wall, there is water coming down foundation. They added living room. Cut access in back of kitchen sink wall. Found 2" cast iron drain with crack. Went under house cut out section of cast iron and cut out section in wall. Went back with 2" and 1 1/2" dwv drain. All new tubular drain under sink. All good." You had every opportunity to deny the work before any charges other than the trip fee were incurred but approved the price up front and accepted the work and price by your signature when the work was completed and the job was paid for. With the upfront price and the signed acceptance for our service I'm not sure how you consider you were "robbed." Perhaps it would be best for both of us if you were to use another plumbing company in the future. Wayne Reeh

Reeh Plumbing will forever have my business. Brian and Jaime were given the ultimate challenge... finding 2 diamond rings and a set of diamond studs that had been accidentally flushed down the toilet. There was a 50/50 chance that the jewelry had already hit the septic tank. Not only did they work well together, they were so kind to our family. They dealt with crawling under the house to get a better look at the pipes, using the snake camera, digging up the yard.... not only did they make very little mess (never knew plumbing could be so tidy!) They recovered the JEWELRY!!! All of it! Thank you Reeh Plumbing for your superior service! - The Smith Family
