Over the past year and a half or so (we built our home just over 15 years ago), we've had issues with our kitchen sink backing up more and more frequently. We'd been successful in unclogging it ourselves until last fall when we first had to pay someone to come out and unclog it for us. It happened again last week and like the previous time it happened, we were unable to clear it ourselves. We called Pronto Plumbing and James Dixon came out. He was also unable to clear this one for us and, in looking at our pipes, said that with current code they should be larger in diameter and that we had no grading. He gave us an estimate to have it fixed with the larger pipe and grading, but unfortunately, we weren't able to have it completed that day and had to wait 5 days to get it done. We were very happy to have Cody and Cody show up to get it fixed for us; you don't realize how much you use your kitchen sink...until you can't! Cody and Cody were very personable and did a great job getting the job completed. They spent the time to explain everything they were going to do before starting and then to show me the completed work, walking through everything. They cleaned up the work area and left it the way they found it. While I wish the clog could've been cleared on the initial visit and I wouldn't have had to spend this much money right after the holidays, I'm glad to have a LONG TERM fix for the issue and look forward to NOT having my sink clog on what was seeming to be an increasingly more frequent basis! Thanks to James, Cody, and Cody! We appreciate your time and the work you did for us!

We’ve been using Pronto for many years. They are one of the few plumbing companies I have found that really are available ASAP in an emergency… which is pretty much the deal every time we need them! Great crew. They get the job done and done right. Special shout out to frenchy, he took the time to explain and show all the repairs completed even though it was late into the evening AND on a weekend. Appreciate this greatly!

My 75 year old mother called Pronto for a clog in the sewer line. 6 years ago she had another company come in and replace 35ft of sewer pipe under her yard. Pronto proceeded to tell her that all their work was done incorrectly and that not only did the 35ft need replaced so did the additional 5 feet out to the street and into the boroughs sewer line. They also stated that this would require tearing up the sidewalk and the street. The hook up in the street was not a surprise but no one would return my calls to answer why the fairly new 35ft of pipe needed replaced also. They told my mother she had old obsolete orange burg pipe but we thought that had all been replaced. Needless to say, my mother was stuck with a quote for over 14 grand and no one would answer questions. Also included in the quote was tearing out and replacing 16sf of asphalt for $4200 which I found very high. After a recommendation from a local restoration company, I called another company. This gentleman immediately came out and confirmed my fears about Pronto. There was absolutely no orange burg pipe left and the issue was with the borough. He called the borough to the site and they confirmed and stated they would be flushing the line the following day. The second opinion cost her a couple hundred dollars in a diagnostic fee but it's worth it considering the alternative cost of 14 grand. In the end, I feel they were going to take advantage of my mother assuming she had no idea what they were talking about. This was made clear when no one return my calls as well. Do not use Pronto. They will bill you for the max amount of work even if it's not needed.

Dear Karen, We take all reviews seriously, especially when our reputation is on the line. Ensuring that our customers understand the situation and their options is a top priority for us and we apologize that you felt that did not occur. After opening up the backing up drain line at your mother’s home, our technician ran the camera from the home to the curb and to the “city” main to determine cause/conditions. He found an orangeburg pipe that is impaired, which we believe will be an ongoing problem that could eventually become a much larger issue, so provided a quote for a long-term resolution (including separate quote for concrete and blacktop as some customers prefer to directly contract a 3rd party for that). When we heard there were questions about the diagnosis and quote, we offered to come back to the home at no charge to show the findings that were on the camera and further explain options, and that was declined. We would still like to offer another camera inspection to show our findings to you, your mother and anyone else that you would like to have present, which of course would be at no cost to you, so that you have all the information to make the best decisions for your mother’s home for now and future. We would also appreciate it if you would be willing to speak with Barry Kindt, Owner of Pronto Plumbing & Drain, as he would like to personally address your concerns.
