  Most of the negative reviews seem to be focused on the automated call center. The actual office inside the courthouse is efficient and full of people who want to do a good job. They try to cut up and generally make the experience of paying your taxes and such a bit less brutal. You will have to pass through a metal detector prior to entering, so leave your knives and firearms in the truck. It's not usually busy under normal circumstances but you should be prepared to wait if it's after 4pm.

  You are supposed to be open and no one answers. Further, the automated system repeats “are you still there” three times, then hangs up on you, but does not respond when you say something, dial buttons, jump up and down, etc.

  It is Fort Valley not New York City. Get a human being to answer your phone. I am tired of hearing are you still there
