  I rarely give a bad review but I'm less than happy with Pacific Air Comfort. My heat pump and furnace quit working two months ago. Both had been serviced in March. The guy who did my prepaid service showed up WITHOUT the right filter! "Oh, you can stop by the shop in Coquille and pick up one." he said. NOT! That is why I prepay for my maintenance. So the units stop working and I call for maintenance. One guy shows up three weeks later! Doesn't have all the necessary parts, again. Three weeks later the same guy shows up, replaces a fuse, a condenser, but still can't get the units to work. Two weeks later two guys show up. One checks the heat pump and finds it was shorted out by a tiny fried tree frog. Because the heat pump was fried it blew out the electrical in the furnace. Everything except the motor has already been replaced but they don't have the motor on their truck! Their head electrician shows up on Friday. He checks out the unit. Yep, the motor is bad. No, no replacement motor on the truck. It is now Thursday of the following week and I have not heard from them. I called the Coquille office this morning at 9:45. Their website said they are open, phone message said they are closed. Needless to say, I AM NOT HAPPY WITH PACIFIC AIR COMFORT service. Any recommendations out there for another furnace maintenance company?

  Pacific Air Comfort partnered with the Energy Trust of Oregon and I got a SCREAMING deal on a ductless heat/ac unit. 20 year warranty and SO much more efficient than my baseboard heat. The heat distributes evenly through my entire house (to my dismay). I have a three bedroom/1 bath just under 1000 sq ft and it does the trick. It cut my power bill in half from my winter bill last year. Dave Boom was my tech and I liked him a lot. Went over my paperwork quickly and answered any questions I had. They were quick, friendly and fixed the issues I had (they didn't seal up a vent under my house and some mice moved in... I called them and they paid to have an exterminator come to my house for 30 days free of charge!) It may have sucked to have mice in the house for a while but they did a great job fixing my issue. The unit is so quiet and it's not that big. Barely even notice it. So much quieter than my neighbors big HVAC.

  Poor communication throughout the install process. They needed to be reminded to finish the install. It took three months to install the heater, now it's out for the second time within two weeks. I guess ill wait till they get around to fixing it again. But don't worry, I like sitting at home for a two hour window that they don't make. Should I be concerned that the natural gas unit was safely installed after all this? Update 4 weeks later: they have been here three times and still do not have it working. I'll need AC now before I need heat!
