  I needed an older style garage door seal. I had already take the old one off and had searched Lowe's and Home Depot to no avail. Then I remembered seeing a garage door shop near Bi-Mart in Prineville. I figured I'd give it a shot, not wanting to leave a gap at the bottom of my door for a few days while I ordered a replacement online. I was greeted by a lovely gentleman who was knowledgeable and friendly and most importantly had exactly what I needed!! He even gave some installation tips and tricks to make my life easier. You could tell he loves what he does and was happy to make a new customer. Through my conversation, I remembered I need a part for my garage door opener as well. I asked him about it and he said he'd be happy to help. I didn't have it with me at the time but I'll definitely be back! They've found a lifetime customer for sure!!! As a first time homeowner, I'm happy to have a local company I feel I can count on should I have any other issues!! Thank you so much!!!

  Facts: Called for a service call, having trouble with door opening and closing. They sent service person out and he worked on it, got it going, tried 2-3 times said it was fixed. Got a service bill for $145.00. We tried it about 3-4 times and it quit and was worse than before. All this was within 36 hours. Called day after service call and talked to owner. His point was that the old door was a piece of crap and I should not be throwing good money at it, (mind you, the service person DID NOT say a word before working on it) So, the best solution was to get a NEW door for $349.00. My solution is that if you are having trouble with your door, get a NEW one and save yourself a service call. My personal reflection is that this was a damn slick way to sell an expensive door with the service call and new door. The owner would NOT stand behind his service because he said it was a piece of crap and could fail anytime, even after his service person said it was working FINE. He is the only game in town and HE KNOWS IT. He did tell me I could get someone else from out of town. He also made NO offer to compensate for the $145.00 I just spent 36 hours before even though he and his SERVICE person KNEW it was a piece of CRAP. Why not just offer to put in NEW for $349.99 and save me $145.00. That is what most business owners would have done. " We notice that your old door is outdated and not in good shape. It might save you some money and more cost effective if your get a new door. AT least save a service call."
