I have a home warranty that assigned my shower issue to Morris. They called me same day and the first question they asked was if I had another shower I could use. Which we did but I should have never told them that, because it seemed like they didn’t care at all to fix my issue in a timely manner knowing I wasn’t being “that inconvenienced”. The woman on the phone, who was always very rude, told me she would call me back later in the week to set something up. I had to call HER back THREE times to get them to definitely tell me they’d be coming out the FOLLOWING Friday, 10 days later! Once the guys came out they stayed for about 30 minutes. Fixed one problem and not the other. They said to call them (I wasn’t home) to get the diagnosis. I called and then was told to call back Monday. My husband called on Monday and they said they’d get us an estimate on the price and give us a call back. Then a week passed and we hadn’t heard anything from them so I called my home warranty company to request to use a different plumbing company. They reached out to Morris for the diagnosis as well. Another week passed. Nothing. So I called Morris again, got a rude guy on the phone that was very nonchalant in his dates and said he’d get my estimate to the home warranty “Monday or something...”. ANOTHER week passed. So now it has been over a month and my issue is not resolved because of the lack of responsiveness, and basic rudeness and uncaring shown from Morris. I called my home warranty company and cancelled the contract with Morris and went another route with a new plumber. And have never heard from Morris since so I suppose they didn’t care about fixing my issue or having my business. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. So rude!
Response from the owner
We were contacted by the home warranty company to diagnose and address two issues the customer was having. The first issue was a lack of hot water in the upstairs bathroom, the second was an odor coming from the shower drain. We worked this call in as soon as possible however, broken water lines, previously scheduled installation jobs, and people with no heat or water we treat as emergency calls. Weather conditions in our area change rapidly so we never know when we are going to have several of these types of calls in a short amount of time which was the case when we received this work order. Our technicians were able to correct the lack of hot water to the shower and resolve that issue as it did not require any extensive work. We spoke with the home warranty company and advised them our technicians diagnosed the odor coming from the drain was due to the shower not having a trap installed at the time the shower was installed. To install a trap at this time would require having to go through the ceiling below the bathroom. The home warranty company advised they do not cover this type of work only repairs to damaged/broken equipment not improper installation. The owner has been working on an estimate for this work however due to health issues he has had to take time off of work and just now getting caught back up. The owner said this estimate did get overlooked and apologizes for not getting to it sooner. When we spoke with the homeowners we never thought anyone was rude so we find this comment confusing.
