  I could not disagree more with Amy. My elderly parents had their furnace quit on a Saturday evening. We called the office number and were greeted by a friendly woman who got us connected with Hugh. He was very kind and understanding of our situation. He was honest about possibly having to wait until as late as 11 pm before he could free up a tech to come out. He called me back in less than 5 minutes to inform me he had a tech that could come out shortly. I received a call from Nate within the next 5 minute to tell me he was on his way and would be arriving in 25-30 minutes. Nate was punctual and very nice. He found the issue after about 30 minutes or so. He then gave us a few options and price ranges and let us decide which direction to go in. The furnace was 20 years old so we opted to replace it. Rather than incur overtime labor rates we waitied until Monday to replace it. The team was able to reschedule a couple calls to accomidate the emergency replacement and my parents were sitting in a warm home by the end of the day! Its never a good day when you lose a major home system, however, the price was fair, the work was done quickly and the work area was left clean. I would recommend Maclellan's to family and friends.   Will gouge you on price and are dishonest on how much time they actually spent working. I had Nate come to inspect our boiler on Nov 16 when it wasn't working. He found the problem and replaced the broken power pile, but then found that the burners were missing proper brackets and the unit was unsafe to run and had to shut it down. He spent 1.5 hours doing all this, but wrote on the work order that it took him 2.5 hours. They also want to charge me $69 for the power pile even though we don't get to use it now. Later that day we got a quote for a high efficiency boiler installation. $10,800! If you have 10k lying around for unexpected repairs, I would still suggest you don't choose this company.
