Our kitchen drain clogged the night before thanksgiving, not good. Friday another company thought they cleared the clog but noooo. When I called Keenans, they worked me in that day, cleared the clog, knew they cleared the clog, and it drains great. Their technician was professional, courteous and did a super job. I will always use Keenans from now on. Support your your local businesses. They exceeded my expectations.

Excellent, professional and friendly service. Free estimate for new heating unit and a reasonable price. No problems with product or installation.

Keenan's were quick to respond to my call and schedule a service visit. The tech was helpful and seemed knowledgeable enough — we only spoke over the phone. That's the good stuff. Now the bad stuff: I had Keenan's come out to a house I was buying to do a Sewerscope. When I called to schedule the appointment, I gave the secretary/scheduler my credit card info over the phone. The tech only got the camera about 2 feet down the line before he said he couldn't get it any further. Since I had given my CC info, I assumed they would charge me a fair price and that would be the end of it. A whole month later, I got a call from Keenan's saying that they were finally going to charge me, and that the price was going to be $300, regardless of the fact that they didn't actually complete a Sewerescope inspection. I asked if the price could be negotiated, but I was told it was firm. I will be using a different plumber from now on. EDIT Re: the review response, it is not completely accurate. I did speak with the tech directly. I've also contracted several plumbers in different places to do Sewerscope work, and while it is true that there is usually a flat fee for use, the price also goes with the length of the run. I was told on the phone (only after being invoiced) that "it wouldn't matter if we ran it out 2 feet or 200 feet, it would be the same price," which is hardly reasonable. Anyway, I'm not interested in re-litigating the issue; I'm just leaving this review to help other people be well-informed.

    Response from the owner

Kelson -- Thank you for giving us the chance to help you. I regret that you are unhappy with your bill. I just discussed your situation with the technician and he let me know that even though the sewer line separation was only a couple of feet down the line the camera was very useful in diagnosing the exact problem and the exact location of the problem. Knowing these things greatly minimizes the cost of repairs. Drain cameras are expensive to operate and maintain and that is why we charge to use them. You were billed the minimum amount for the use of the sewer camera and well less than the national average of just over $600. We often waive the camera charge if you have us complete the line repairs. My technician also said he never spoke to you but just with your realtor.
