  Joe came out to repair a frozen pipe under our kitchen sink Feb, 15 2021. When soldering the new pipe connection, he didn't have the appropriate equipment to shield the insulation from the open flame and caught the insulation on fire and the whole house was up in flames within minutes. Luckily, no people or pets were injured and the fire dept was on site quickly. The house was in unlivable condition so all 4 tenants had to make arrangements for housing and travel during the worst snow storm of the year. When I got in contact with Joe regarding insurance coverage, he directed me to his insurance agent. We were denied any coverage since his policy did not include coverage for heating/flame tools. The home was covered by homeowners insurance but $75,000+ of our personal property was a total loss. I reached out to Joe to try and work out a payment plan directly with him and provided a list of all of our lost items with replacement values. I then received a letter from a lawyer that he had hired requesting pictures and receipts of every single item that we were requesting replacement value for. We then hired a lawyer to help us navigate this process in hopes to make some sort of financial recovery. After months of back and forth between lawyers, it sounded like Joe and his lawyer were willing to set up a payment plan. We agreed and inquired about the terms of the payment plan and have received no response since Nov. 17 2021 regarding this issue. If you do decide to use Joe for plumbing services, absolutely make sure that he has updated his insurance policy to cover heating/flame damage or you may be completely screwed like us.

  I originally hired a handyman to remove and install a new toilet. He stated that the hole for the floor where the toilet goes is too big and that the toilet will always be rocking. I finally realized that I could not deal with it anymore and decided to hire a plumber- Joe the Plumber. He came out and a relatively easy fixing of a rocky toilet turned out to be a bigger job than what was expected. But he handled it like a champ. He took photos, kept me updated on what is going on, and told me step by step what was wrong and how the was going to fix it. The wax ring is something that he said that he never saw before. The flange was broken so he had to obtain another one and it took a few days to get them and make another appointment for Joe to come back. No worries- I had another bathroom. Joe got several different ones (different sizes as well) to see which would be best to fit my toilet. He put a better quality flange and a new wax ring and fitted it so it wouldn't rock, he put a new water line to the toilet, put new bolts and caps, even fixed the uneven water tank that the old handyman put on, and cleaned up all of the mess. He did a great job- fixed the rocky toilet and made sure that it wouldn't happen again by fitting it properly. I definitely recommend! Thanks so much!

  Joe did a great job replacing my broken water heater and some attached piping. After my water heater started spraying water everywhere, Joe responded quickly to my message and was able to get out to my house and diagnose the issue. He was able to source a new water heater quickly and installed it well. He also explained to me how everything worked, so if there was ever an issue in the future I would know how things worked. I would definitely recommend him for your future projects!
