Jay is the best plumber in Wausau! My previous law firm hired him for his services, and I have too on a number of occasions. Every time I called Jay I knew I was in good hands and our plumbing issue would be resolved. Jay even helped me with an emergency issue in a very timely and professional manner on short notice. Jay's Plumbing...top notch in all aspects, and then some. Jay and Randy made time at the end of what I'm sure was a very busy day for them, to drive a ways away to replace our water heater. They were both extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Even though it was well into the evening hours they even stayed to fix an issue with a faucet. I will most certainly reach out to them for all my future plumbing needs.

My wife and I had questions about our sump pump and scheduled Jay to come out and take a look.  Jay and his associate (Randy) were very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining how our sump pump worked, why it is important to properly maintain and the consequences of neglecting it.  Overall, we were extremely pleased with their service and impressed by their knowledge.  We would definitely recommend Jay's plumbing to family and friends.

I would not recommend Jay’s plumbing to anyone. Our water heater needed replacing so we called around and Jays was the first to respond and said that we will squeeze us in on the day of the call.  So we decided to go with Jays.  We called back and asked if we can convert it to a tankless and was told that he will have to squeeze us in the next day which will be a Friday.  On Friday, we got a called with the quote and that the job can’t be done until Monday.  So we had to go 4 days without hot water.  On Monday morning, we found another place that gave us a cheaper quote so we called and cancel. We got a phone call after we called to cancel that we will be charge one hour of work which is 100.  We were never told or made aware of a cancellation fee the whole duration, even when we called to cancel.  In addition, they never stepped foot into our house.  First of all, if you promised a customer the job will be done today or should be done today.  Secondly, if you know you can’t make it for a few days tell them it’ll be a few days. Lastly, if you have a cancellation fee tell them you have a cancellation fee ahead of time.  I will not go with Jays ever again!
