September 16, 2021 New water main line installed from the meter to the middle of the house - roughly 115 feet. Here’s the punchline: if you hire any other company to install your new water line, you’ve done yourself a great disservice. Hire Interstate. Here’s the details: -We discovered a water leak in late August. Gotta love when the water bill tells you something is wrong. The leak was under the foundation of our house, which sits on a slab. -We reconfirmed our homeowner’s insurance had a rider that covered underground utilities between the curb and the house. If you don’t have this feature on your policy we highly recommend it. It surely costs a fraction of a decimal of any major repair. -We got three estimates and a lot of other plumbing insight before hiring Interstate. One company highly complimented Interstate when we said Interstate’s estimate was $3k-$5k lower than theirs. Yes, for real $3000-$5000 less. So one professional basically recommended the professional we hired. -Erik with Interstate used satellite imaging to provide the estimate. Why does that matter? Well, I guess you don’t have to be home waiting on an appointment. We can’t guarantee that in all cases, but it happened in our case. -Once we hired Interstate, a detailed contract was provided, a date was set, Miss Utility was taken care of, and the 6-hour timeframe to complete the install actually ended up being 5-5.5 hours. That included cleanup: sweeping the driveway, the area inside the house where the new connection was made, wiping mud off floor. You name it, they cleaned it up. By the way, if you’ve never seen a boring machine in action to tunnel underground for an installation like this, YouTube has some videos for you. -Any questions we had during installation were answered perfectly. -The crew was personable, hard working, clearly master professionals at their crafts. The epitome of top notch tradesmen. I think Darwin was the foreman, so he’s the guy who answered most of my questions. -The installation is complete. The next step is for the country inspector to check the connections. In the meantime, the drywall in the utility closet is open, exposing the plumbing, which is no big deal. I forget if they’re covering that or not. And there’s two large holes by the street that will be backfilled, repaired/landscaped once the inspector signs off on the job. It’s our intent to update this review after the inspection is complete and the holes are backfilled, but in case the world implodes before then (you know we’re on a slippery slope, people!) we think everything above this should suffice to get you the right company for you new water line installation. Interstate!

Two gentlemen showed up on time, professional and courteous. Had two companies before that failed at fixing a clogged main(both companies left my bathroom and rugs a mess). Interstate was able to fix the problem and diagnosis the cause immediately. They left my bathroom and rugs spotless. Can't thank them enough. Last but not least the least expensive of the three.

From start to finish, the work and customer service was top notch. Erik was very responsive, helpful and so timely. Jose was the lead man on the work crew. He was nice knowledgeable and helpful throughout. They sent a large crew to extend our sump pump discharge across our side yard to tie into the storm sewer. They took care to not disturb the yard and when they were all done, you could not even tell that they dug a trench across our yard. We are SO HAPPY with the work performed. We will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
