  Lawrence Hoskins did a BOTCHED JOB at my property and charged a big price $1500 for a small job that he did not complete and now I am having to spend money for an attorney to sue him and pay more to have the BOTCHED Work corrected. I used the service of Lawrence Hoskins Plumbing service for the first time because he was recommended by someone that I knew from the church. Mr. Hoskins' price was very high $1,500 to install a electrical line for an electric stove inside my newly remodeled home, connect a gasline to my new hot water tank and to remove and recut one kitchen countertop which he claimed he would have to carry to Oxford, Miss. from Marks, Miss. and to install a vent for my dryer which he did not install. When I arrived to town months later to inspect my property, I discovered he did a BOTCHED JOB!!! He cut a hole in the wall (which he did not cover after he finished the work) and connected a big thick pipe to my electric box. The pipe ran down the outside of the wall and along side the base board and he nailed a piece of wood to the wall and connected the pipe to the receptacle that he installed on top of the wood. When I called him and told him how disgusted I was with his work, he hung the phone up on me twice. There are too many incompetent Contractors with no professional training and they are of every race and age. I advise anyone considering a Contractor to do a background check and make sure they are Licensed and Bonded. And be present when the work is being done.
