  Hoover heating had been to my house a few times for routine maintenance to component failures. He is very knowledgeable and fair pricing. When I called him he showed up the same day and had a fix under 10 minutes. Overall great place to call in an emergency.

  I live in Philadelphia and my childhood home needed a new furnace. I hired Dan Hoover and he and his team installed it without any issues. Actually he was quite good and the furnace worked. This was November 2019. Dan Hoover explain to me that the legs on my oil tanks needed to be replaced and that the oil had to be as low as it could before he could do this. He said March he would come in and replace the legs and also put in a cylinder in my chimney, so the chimney would not crack. Also, take care of the berry deep grooves that his truck had made and he would come back in the spring and plant seed and take care of the divots. Of course this never happened. destruction to my property and didn't take care of it. I got a proposal and the estimate and the signed contract and called him in March. He responded that the tanks needed to be as empty as possible. I gave them the information to go down and check to make sure it was as low as he needed to be and left it in his capable hands. During the summer, I texted thinking that it would be a good time to go change the legs in the tank; however, he never responded. I texted him September asking him when he was going to complete the job. That I was worried with a concern that in the mountains the heat would need to come on sooner than it does in the city. And if he would please go and check and make sure everything was okay. Also wanted to know when he could schedule my job for completion. He gave me a couple question marks and then he never responded. Very disappointing! It is now October and he still has not responded to my desperate pleads. I had to find another person to help me. Living in a rural area, it's very difficult to find competent people who actually want to work. Even if they are confident and professional, they still are lacking on completing a job. Sadly, no matter how much you want to pay someone back in this area. No one wants to or will work. As I grew up in this area, I could have used a larger heating company called Barber. But I wanted to keep the small town man in business. His wife Robin said, "that he puts every furnace in and he knows every furnace, so that he can be a better businessman." I keep asking how did I fall through the cracks? Every flower I ever gotten as a child into adulthood, came from his family's flower shop. I just don't understand how families took care of one another back in the day and today. They just forget about you as soon as they leave. I was very disappointed to find that you can't find anyone that cares enough to complete a job which they have contracted and that Dan Hoover sadly is one of them and did me wrong. I can't find anybody in Cambria county that can say a bad word about him. But he most certainly let me down and did me wrong. As a single woman living by herself, it's very sad that a man will leave a woman stranded, especially when they have a wife and and girls as well. He wouldn't want anyone to do this to his wife or his children, but he has no problem doing it to someone else's. For this I say shame on you Dan Hoover heating. He did an excellent job on the furnace; however, his follow-through he gets a zero.
