  They installed our heating in our new house we were happy but wanted AC as well. Called hometown in September to get a bid. They had us call back in January. Still no bid and they won’t put you on the list until they get you a bid. Rocky Mountain installed our AC today. So unless you are a new build don’t bother with hometown just call Rocky Mountain.

  Vaunne, By the time that you had initially reached out to us in September we had already put an end to adding AC jobs to our 2021 AC season, primarily due to nationwide equipment shortages, but also because of the lack of warmer weather. We have asked all of our customers to reach out to us in the winter of 2022 to begin proposals and scheduling for the 2022 AC season because there have been regular price increases on equipment in the past couple of years. The closer to installation season, the more accurate our pricing is so that you can budget properly. We also need outdoor temperatures to sustain a minimum of 55 degrees or warmer to properly charge an AC system and adjust the refrigerant pressures to their most efficient design pressures which we don’t typically see until April at the very earliest. Because of this, anyone charging an AC system in winter is skipping some very important steps that can cause excess wear and pressures on a compressor, which can cause higher power bills and shorten the equipments’ life. We have a very busy service schedule to address these problems from other companies’ installations every year. We also try to avoid installing AC system until it warms up in the spring because it’s common for the ground to settle around a new home once the ground completely thaws out. This can cause outdoor units to settle crooked and be off balance. We assure you that we did not forget about you as we have a very long list of customers that we are diligently working as hard as we can to get updated and accurate proposals and scheduling in time for the start of our AC season, which usually begins in April/May. As with many of the companies of all types in the valley, staffing is proving to be a difficult issue to tackle, so everyone is working long hours to try to keep up with the demand. Even with that, we have reserved spaces for all of our current customers to ensure that they get a spot in the schedule. I’m sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations on this go around, but hope that you would also reconsider the quality of your home’s heating system that we did install as you have given us a 1 star rating that reflect your frustrations with this year’s AC scheduling and doesn’t take into consideration the quality of you home’s comfort or quality of our work with what we had already performed for your home.

  I recently had to leave the company due to relocation for family reasons but thoroughly enjoyed my time with Hometown. I was brought to Montana with promises from another company that weren’t kept and I explained my situation to the owner Tim. He graciously offered me a position and training. I honestly can’t say I have worked for as good a company anywhere else. It’s kind of like family and a job all in one. I will never regret the three years I spent laboring along side Tim and Brooke Delph. I learned so much and they helped me every step of the way in the process of becoming a true HVAC tech. If your considering employment in this industry in the Belgrade/Bozeman area I couldn’t recommend anyone else.
