  My piping sprung a leak under the house. Jonas and his dad, Mr. Hoffman came over in about an hour and fixed the leak which was a fairly difficult to reach tricky to weld location. Thanks! Great guys. I like the water faucet hood ornament also...

  I called them when a sewer pump issue and they responded pretty quickly but told me it would be 1.5x rate because of the 4th of July holiday (which is two 2 days from now - today is not a holiday). They did not mention being fully booked. They then followed up and I was then told it was 2x rate including travel time to my house, at $360 an hour? I get it that it's a busy time but it's not ok to keep raising your rates and taking advantage of people. This is the most expensive plumbing I've ever seen. Replying to the response, I offered to send photos or even get the part myself to save a trip and they didn't seem willing to work with me. They also never mentioned bring fully booked. (Nor are you fully booked if you are taking work...!). The price quoted was $100 more per hour then their emergency rate! Basically this this just surge pricing in plumbing form.

  Dear Mr Abramson, We received your text in the late morning on July 2nd for service to repair your sewer pump in Carnelian Bay. We advised you that we are booked out for 3 weeks and offered you service at our emergency rate of time and a half to provide you service on an already fully booked day. Additionally, you were advised that we would charge for travel time to/from Carnelian Bay due to the heavy holiday traffic. Further, you were also advised that your pump repair could involve ordering specific parts and a 2nd trip to install parts which may have required service on July 4th (a federal holiday when our rates increase to 2x). We are sorry for any misunderstandings in our attempt to provide you assistance and be fully transparent of our rates to do so. Respectfully, Hoffman Plumbing

  These guys are the best. Nice, respectful, honest about when they can do the job, and explain it all. We have used for over 20 years in Rubicon Bay and now Homewood!
