Very recently we had to quickly replace our heating and cooling systems.  We had three different companies evaluate our home's heating and cooling needs. All gave us prices on what they deemed best for our home, made suggestions, and gave us quotes on the cost of the units/installation.

We chose Hilgers Plumbing Heating from Norwood Young America for several reasons: their knowledge, pricing, and feedback from others.
They ordered our equipment choices immediately and installed soon after. Installation went smoothly. They also took care of the  warranty registrations and applied for our X-cel and Center Point Energy  rebates. They cleaned up thoroughly when finished.

We were impressed with the entire process and would recommend this company for any heating/cooling jobs.

They were very friendly,worked efficiently,and had reasonable prices. Furnace was out and they were able to install new one same day I called for an estimate. I was very satisfied.

Our old water heater finally gave up and sprung a leak.  Lee turned up soon after we called to assess what was needed, and we had the new heater installed just 2 days later.  Given we were all dealing with 100deg weather, which had Lenny and Lee running around crazy helping people keep cool, I was very impressed.
Cindy even registered a rebate with CenterPoint for us that same day.

On a side note - they've helped us with our old a/c before and proven themselves to be honest and ethical.  I believed the a/c was dead, but Lee was able to get it up and running again quickly for a small charge.

I was getting quotes for a repair or new air conditioner (I wasn't sure which, as I haven't had to do this before), and had a couple of providers scheduled to come give quotes. This company said they could send someone "sometime this morning." The owner called me after his service tech drove past my house and saw another service tech giving me a quote (who was also not scheduled, but came when he could), and straight up YELLED at me, demanding to know "what kind of person does this." For getting another quote on a huge home purchase. This not only made a stressful situation worse, but made sure I would NEVER use this business. I was shocked at how he spoke to a potential customer. I took my business elsewhere (we needed a new unit, as ours was installed in the late 90s)and learned a LOT about how the owner treats potential customers. I should have expected this, as I have heard it from others...I would avoid at all costs.

This is not true. You did not call for a replacement estimate. You called for a repair. You stated you had a "neighbor" there on Friday to try and repair your unit. So a service tech was sent to repair your unit. We would never be on a site when another company is already there. Proper etiquette would be to cancel one or the other. By calling several and whoever shows up first gets the job is inconsiderate. You stated you got nervous and called several people. So this caused a delay on our end getting the next AC call done in a timely matter.  Was a stressful day with the extreme heat. Hopefully you got the unit repaired as it sounded like not much was wrong with it.

Hilgers has provided us with exceptional service for more than 20 years. From major issues with our air conditioner to minor issues such as an annoying leak. They do excellent work. Lenny and Lee always find a way to fit us in and provide us with the best and most cost efficient option.
