  100 dollars for maybe 15 minutes of time to move two wires on a thermostat. Not impressed with value, for that price I could've removed the thermostat completely and had them reinstall it. At least I wouldn't have felt ripped off. Definitely will not use them in the future.

  Tater came within an hour of my call and had us up and cooling in no time! We'll definitely use Hatteras Island Air for all of our HVAC needs.

  Our property manager used Hatteras Island Air without our knowledge to repair an HVAC unit. Upon receiving the bill, I noticed that we were charged $110 for a $5-12 part (a capacitor, which is essentially a battery). Being an industrial electrician for over 20 years, I called Hatteras Island Air to inquire about this incredibly expensive capacitor. I was told that the 1000% markup was because they had to stock the part and that "everyone else down here (over)charges so I am getting my share". I understand that there is a fee involved with a service call and even the diagnostic fee. I even understand marking up a part that you have to stock but charging 10X what that part is worth is just a money grab. I will never do business with this company and would discourage anyone else from dealing with an unethical organization like this.
