Super happy I called Harbor Plumbing! They were very quick to get out to my home to replace my water heater. They were also friendly and professional. I'm very grateful!

I cannot say enough in the negative about this company, the work they do and the owner. The quality of the work was poor to say the least, the invoice was 3 times what I thought it would be with no breakdown for charges, and the water pressure I now have is not enough to wash the shampoo out of my hair. Yet, the owner says the pressure is at 75 (my HOA just tested it at 28) and he is not planning to come to fix it. I will call another plumber to fix his faulty work and take that out of his invoice. I hope he takes me to court, as I would love to tell the world what a jerk this guy is!!!

We needed to remove an osmosis system, and then remove and install a new water heater, and they installed what should have been a simple valve on the water supply line. They were quick to respond to our phone call and were pretty prompt with getting out to our house. The two gentlemen, one master plumber and one apprentice (2 men) were very nice and took the time to explain what they were doing and some insights into their work. With that said, that's where my positives end. I'm all for supporting a small business. However, the price involved, wow. ~$3500 later, the work was done. The price of the materials were reasonable, but the labor was not in my opinion. I was billed for almost 8hrs at $118 PER man for the removal/install of the water heater, and another 2.5hrs for the valve(i was told it'd be a simple 30 min fix but they ran into some problems). $118 for the actual plumber, sure. But $118 for the apprentice?? This doesn't seem to be industry standard. Through my research, apprentices usually make $30-50/hr. And I'm sure the jobs took an extra 1-2hrs of work that was due to the instructing being done between the plumber and the apprentice, which is fine, but not at that hourly rate. I discussed this with the owner Gene, and he was pretty short and took offense to my questioning. He did split a credit card fee with me, which was appreciative. In the end, I feel I was over charged ~$700-$1000 on labor. Maybe you can specify the number of men when you have a problem. That extra $118/hr adds up really fast.
