I’ve had positive experiences with Handyman Connection. It was easy to make an appointment online, great communication regarding the appointment date and time, and free estimate with an appropriate cost. When possible, purchase the equipment yourself (such as paint, bathroom fan, etc) to save on costs. On the date of the service, the areas remained clean and the services were performed expertly. Sam did a great job. He even went to Lowes to pick up an adapter when he realized that we were missing the piece. He’s very knowledgeable and efficient. I’d recommend anyone to Handyman who needs home repairs that their husbands’ can’t figure out how to do!

Caleb rebuilt our stairs-newel post to hand rails. He was dependable, skillful, efficient, and professional. He kept us informed and sought our input when our house threw him a couple of curves. The end result is that the stairs look great and are sturdy as a rock.

I hired them to cut a dryer vent short. The contractor came in and quoted $250 for the job. I told him the price was too high but he said there was quite some work to do and that he had to clean the vent etc. I had the vent cleaned just a month ago but he insisted it was a lot of work. He worked on it for exactly 40 minutes and seemed to have reported back to the company that he worked for an hour and 40 minutes. There were no parts involved. He didn't move anything from the laundry room, asked me to move stuff. Took a towel from me to clean his shoes later and left it on my washing machine. While he was working, he just cussed and swore all along which had me a bit worried. $250 for 40 minutes of work was an overkill.

Subha, we're sorry to hear you didn't have a positive experience. We want to assure you that we empathize with your feelings, and we're sorry to hear you feel you were charged too much for the work we did. That's why we reached out to the craftsman to see if he could lower the price. Unfortunately, he felt the price he quoted before the job was fair. While we understand that $250 is a lot of money, to be fair to our craftsman, he did quote that price to you before the work began. It sounds like he did a thorough job on your dryer vent and that there were no issues with his work, but the work was completed faster than you thought for the price. Is that correct? Our craftsman have many years of experience and expertise. Unfortunately, that knowledge and experience can come at a higher cost from time to time. Again, we apologize that the job didn't seem to match the price we quoted. We wish you nothing but the best. Joe, Owner of Handyman Connection
