Worthless We have been in our home for 5 years and have had no issues except for plumbing. I've had numerous leaks over the last 5 years fixed by other plumbing companies that just laugh at how clueless these errors are. 1st off, they didn't even set the toilets straight during the building process. Easy fix but seriously? 2nd, we had furnace failures due to water leaking INTO the furnace. Other plumber fixed this issue and said that there were certain parts installed upside down and also said that due to the rusting issues it caused that we lost about 5 years of life on our furnace. It was 6 months old at the time... 3rd, our dishwasher almost caught on fire, melted a bunch of stuff due to a simple mistake of not knocking out the disposal plug when they hooked it up. 4th, Our tub leaked into the basement only when there was water filling the tub and weight in the tub. This was due to not properly having the right length of PVC, seal wasn't set right, and putty around the drain was pretty much non existent. When weight was in the tub it put pressure on the drain and the spot on the bottom of the tub connecting to the drain leaked. 5th, along with the leaky tub, they didn't install the correct overflow drain pipe length which left a 1/2" gap above the overflow drain cover and the tub. Plus they actually put the decorative overflow cover on even with a gap at the top NOT going into the overflow. The gap was leading to wall space! 6th, when going to finish the basement 3 years later, a different pluber noticed the box for the shower was not there on either side of where a tub would go. So they Jack hammered a spot for the pea trap. Also the pipe for the toilet was cracked inside the foundation and it was the wrong pipe in general. 7th, there was no air in the expansion tank for the water system 8th, and this one was witnessed by me. When they were installing the drain for the garage sink they marked a wall to drill through that was to the exterior of the house. I told them it was to the exterior of the house. They insisted they knew the plans and they had the plans. So I watched as they drilled through the outside of my house, and with me still telling them they are wrong, they wouldnt listen and kept drillng. When he pulled the drill out, he saw daylight and rightfully so, I heard him swearing and he heard me also saying choice words. He went into the house to tell his partner waiting "on the other side" while I followed. His partner said just cover it up and don't say anything, just as I rounded the corner, the 2 stopped and said it's no big deal... 9th, every time we flush our master toilet...the shower head leaks. Real plumbers fixed that issue. It's been so long, I'm sure I am missing other issues they failed on. I have talked to numerous other people that built with Jeren Homes and they all say the same thing. They have NO other issues except for plumbing. Im shocked how GNR Plumbing is still in business and also shocked how they can pass an inspection. But then again in Sioux Falls the inspectors are a joke anyway.
