  I am very sorry to say that I'm disappointed with Ernie's Plumbing Service in DFW. Here are the facts: 1) They were supposed to come yesterday between 8:00 am and noon, so I moved my chores and errands around so that I would be here and ready. They didn't show for most of the time slot, and then, finally, toward the end of it, they called and said the technician was "running late" and would be here after the slot had been closed for 20 minutes. This didn't work for me because I had appointments to keep and other repairs where I had to deliver the parts to someone else. 2) Today, I waited 2 hours for the same slot, when we were supposed to be the first call. At 10:00 am I called Ernie's and they said our plumber had another appointment before us. I asked why, when we'd reserved the first slot, and they had not answer. They didn't tell me the plumber would be late until minutes before the slot was up. He showed up 20 minutes late. I showed him the problem and he said he had the parts. 3) For a basket strainer and a connecting tailpiece, he wanted to charge me $195 for what he said was a common, quick problem. That made me wonder why it was so much. I looked up the two pieces needing replacing, and the highest price asked for them was $25 each. So, we'd be paying $145 for a fast, easy repair! Hmmm.... 4) When I called the manager and finally got one on the phone, she told me there was nothing wrong with the price. I asked, "So, we're paying you $145 for labor?" She then knew I knew something about the cost of the plumbing supplies, so she went away then came back and offered me a 15% discount as her "best price." She told me that would equal $180. I let her know that I had a calculator in my hand and that 15% off $195 was $165. She laughed nervously, said I was right, and then stated that was her best price. While I still didn't feel that $110 labor for a serviceman's work who came late on more than one occasion and who was here for a maximum time of 20 minutes, I needed my sink fixed. I will not be calling this company again. They struck me over and over as acting in a dishonest manner and I would advise anyone coming to them for help to be wary.

  I made an confirm apointment with them, but followed up with them and they said I wasn't on the list. They came up with alot of excuses about why I was not on the confirm appointment-excuses were new employee, and new computer system. I was waiting for them all day, what a waste of time!
