  1 week stay, Aug 2021 - weather: mostly sunny, warm days. The staff are the nicest you'll find in Ketchikan. They love their guests and go above and beyond. Their shuttle services were so generous (TIP YOUR DRIVERS! - taxis are outrageous and charge *more* than $4+ .10cents per 1.5 Seconds). They know the area very well and give great tips & ideas for travel experiences. They're familiar with the restaurant operating times and menus. The rooms are what you'll find all over Ketchikan: simple, clean and honest rooms. They're not the Holiday Inn from the Lower 48, but understand this is a small town doing the best they can with what's available. If you can, ask for a fan, it gets very stuffy in the rooms/bathrooms without ventilation. There are heaters but no AC, which seems relatively standard for this climate. Also, we never experienced hot water shortages (~15-20 min showers each) The restaurant was good, the Halibut and Chips were bigger servings and better quality than any other restaurant we ate at (which were most all of them over a 1 week stay). To the staff: You all have a love for your guests I've never experienced before, and we travel quite a lot! Thank you very much for your hospitality!

  Overall the room was very quaint and nice. The bed was very comfortable and the view on the small balcony overlooking the sea was gorgeous. The only downside would have to be the lack of hot water in the shower. I attempted to shower and within 3 minutes the water ran cold. This made it so my partner was unable to shower. Overall a pretty good stay.

  Great service the people I talked with were very nice. The cleanliness on the other hand was so bad. The bathroom had dirty towels bunched up behind the door still in there. I was going to take a shower and there was a wad of hair already in the shower. My pillows didn’t have any cases on them and the bed was partially unmade. I’ve worked as housekeeping for two years now at a resort here in Alaska and this was completely unacceptable. It was down right gross. I wouldn’t stay here again.
