*** Pros: Staff, Knowledge, Customer Service - Cons: 'Charged Labor' Cost, Extent of their external resources, Size of operation, Speed of service. **** I had my car towed to Earl's after it died on the side of the highway. One of the techs, Mike, was exceedingly helpful and patient during the time I worked with Earl's. He even personally drove me about half an hour to my house because I had no other way--blew my mind that he was willing to do this. My motor died so the search began for a new one. It took almost an entire week before we found one, as they prefer to only work with a few people they trust for parts. Ultimately we came to a motor with HIGH miles but was 'relatively' cheap. The expensive part is that they charge the recommended maintenance hours for the work to be performed. This is regardless of the work they actually put in. Ultimately I had another mechanic who could replace my motor with a remanufactured one (rather than 150k miles), and had a few year warranty instead of half a year, for a couple hundred dollars more. (To break that down, the motor was more expensive(because it's basically new), but the labor was almost half the cost as with Earl's). I didn't end up getting work done there, but I didn't regret my experience at all. They were absolutely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I deeply appreciate their help, but as a small business they are seemingly pricing themselves out of business compared to some larger operations.

Had an engine removed and replaced on a 2012 VW Tiguan, the techs did not have a clue on how to remove the engine and caused me substantial additional cost. The additional cost incurred was because the techs damaged both control Arm bushings, installed a visibly cracked timing chain cover, broke the turbo water and oil lines, and broke a bolt off in the motor during install of the engine. The company did not take responsibility (No Integrity) for the damage they caused nor their failure to to properly install the engine oil and water lines.
