I have been going here for 6 years. The new owners are terrible. Most of the washing machines are broken with standing, smelling water in them. Dirty counters and floors. Most of the dryer are broken. Today I started putting coins in the washer and after putting in $1.00 the machine switched back to the original cost. Lost my dollar. Every time I go I lose money. I'm looking for a new place. a new place.

The facility is clean but some machines are out of order which explains my rating. I did my laundry here because they have side loading washing machines, (they have top loading ones too). Although more expensive per load, in general side loading washing machines are much more programmable and automated: a better wash with cost effectiveness because of larger load capacity. Washing and cleaning your clothes is a function of the (brand/ type) detergent, additives, and bleach if any that you use and the type (top-loading/ side loading) washer you use. The following is a general explanation of detergents and washing machines which explains the above. Detergents (dry/ liquid) have various anionic (+ charge) & non-ionic (0 charge) cleaning agents, water conditioners, fillers (salt, etc.) and most have enzymes. All detergents are not the same. You can check the packaging to see if it has enzymes. Enzymes remove stains. Bleach inactivates/ destroys the enzymes. So if you use a top-loading washer you should add the bleach in the middle of the wash cycle but not at the beginning of the wash cycle as the enzymes won't be of any use. A side loading washer has a prewash cycle w/o bleach; separate wash cycles that optionally adds the bleach automatically to the last wash cycle; more rinse cycles; faster spin, which removes more water; adds fabric softener automatically to the last rinse cycle and an optional additional final spin which removes even more water, hence less dryer time. The options you choose will determine your cost/ load. Top-loading washers have one price. Fabric softeners, by the way, are cationic: (- charge) which is why they are not added to the wash cycle with the anionic (+ charge) detergent or they are separately added as dryer sheets in the clothes dryer. Depending on my wash load needs I use both top-loading and side-loading washers.
