We placed a work order with our home warranty for a continuously clogged-beyond-reasonable-plunging toilet. The plumber came out and diagnosed it as needing to be replaced. The home warranty approved the replacement and then several weeks went by without a word from Drain Pro. We called the warranty again to find out that Drain Pro had already reported the work as completed a month prior. It turns out they accidentally closed the wrong work order. Catherine was quick to apologize and had us on the schedule for the next business day. This is where everything went wrong. The plumber showed up 2 hours early (not so good for a working household) and after the new toilet was put in he informed us as he was leaving, that we had a broken flange and he hopes the he used caulk will hold. We gave it 24 hours as told and the toilet heavily rocked back and forth. It didn't rock before the new toilet. We called Drain Pro and were told to place another work order with the home warranty. Apparently we were supposed to know that meant they discontinued their contract with the warranty company, so when our work order went back to Drain Pro, they rejected it. When we called to question this, we were told that they cancelled their contract and refused to come back in to fix the toilet. We even offered to hire them out of the warranty which they still refused to come out. After a week of going back and forth with them and the warranty we finally had another company come out to look at Drain Pro’s work. After all the talk of the flange, it ended up being that the toilet was installed incorrectly. Instead of properly installing, the plumber simply used caulk to attempt to fill in the gaps. The new plumber walked us through the correction he was making on the toilet and showed us the flange to assure us it was 100% intact. Thankfully we have a functional toilet, but I would never recommend Drain Pro. They were inexperienced, unprofessional, and don’t stand by their work.

I was assigned Drain Pro by my warranty company in April. They made an appointment and didn't show. They then called and made a new appointment. The plumber was friendly and helpful. I had a clog and he suggested it was a flange and sediment and installed a new toilet. He said he stood by his work and if it didn't fix the issue, I was to call them directly. When I called them back because it didn't fix the issue, they said I needed to call my home warranty company and start a new work order. They said they would be out that day. I waited and no one ever showed. I had to go out of town so I didn't worry about it. Over a week later and no one from the company ever called me to apologize for not showing or to set up a new appointment. So I called and was nice and didn't even mention the no show. We set up an appointment for 10:30 because my sister was going to open the door and let the plumber in but couldn't show until 10:30 because she works until 10. The receptionist was at the vet when I called to make an appointment and was talking to her dog and really busy and I asked her if she needed to call me back at a better time and she said no 10:30 was fine. My sister met the plumber at the house at 10:04. This time he was very annoyed, rude, threw the phone down when I was explaining the issue to him over the phone. He left and said that the warranty company wasn't open until noon EST so he was leaving and that he was busy. That was untrue according to the warranty company. He said it would be a $485 service charge this time. He said he had to go because he had other things to do. Which was odd because my appointment was at 10:30. I assumed my plumbing was his thing to do since I had an appointment. He was rude to my sister and made her very upset. When my sister's husband called the company to complain about how the plumber treated my sister, his wife, the receptionist/owner's wife was very rude and told him to come to her home to tell her how he felt. This is super unprofessional. My sister's husband was not interested in coming to her home/office, he simply wanted to tell them that the plumber was rude and unprofessional. At this point, the receptionist, called the police!!!! What??? To complain about my sister who didn't even own the house. All she did was let the plumber in. I contacted the warranty company immediately (at 10:15am) and they removed them from my work order and scheduled someone else to fix the issue. They registered my complaint and apologized numerous times. The toilet never needed to be replaced. I have a feeling this is how they repair warranty issues and from the previous poster, it sounds like the same story. Later in the day I found out they asked to be removed from my work order. As if I wanted them to come back out to my home??? Unprofessional and never fixed the issue. I think clogged drains/pipes are too difficult for this company. It seems they are more suited to small leaks and replacing toilets. If you are assigned them as part of your warranty, you can call and request someone else. I recommend you do that.
