Small convenience store carrying various goods from clothes, food, beer and alcohol. Considering you are in Alaska, the prices are relative to what is available in the surrounding area. As well, if you are looking to make s’mores, they carry the supplies. 😁The options are limited but a good stop to help stock up.

It's okay. We tent camped at sites 86 and 87 and had a beautiful view of the river. Problem was the bathrooms were quite the trek away. I would say at least a 1/4 mile. Additionally our first night there it poured the entire night and we all woke up wet. Expected in tents, so I asked if there were any other rooms or cabins we could upgrade to that allowed pets and was told no. The place was mostly vacant with whole wings of the hotel portion empty and many cabins. I would have assumed a place with this many rooms would have at least made some pet friendly. Public showers and bathrooms need updates.

I'm sorry, we are no longer pet friendly. We had too many issues over the years with pets. Denali Park also is extremely restrictive on pets.

If I could give it a zero, I would! This room cost roughly $300 a night and it was a joke. We were on a tour that was supposed to take us inside Denali however, due to landslide, we were not able to stay there and our tour company chose this location as their backup plan! I am so sorry they did! We arrived a day early (because we never would have dreamed this accommodation was so bad) and so we paid an extra night on our own! They gave us the Ptarmagin cottage on the hill - the first thing we saw when we walked in was a toilet plunger inside a grocery bag next to the toilet! The floor near the shower was moldy and the table had a plastic cloth over it with crayon markings all over. The heaters are electric and take forever to heat up. On all three nights, there was continuous fighting outside our cabin and the road noise was horrendous. We went ahead and stayed because we were told we would have a room overlooking the river for the next two days that our tour company had booked for us. So, we spent very little time in the room and decided to "tough it out" for the first night - besides, we were lucky to have a place to sleep. The next morning I had to check out of the room that we paid for and was told to come back at 3:30 to check back in to the room our tour company arranged. We arrived at 3:30 and our room wasn't ready......fast forward to 3:50 and I was given a key for another cottage right next to the first one we stayed in....not overlooking the river and almost as bad, but not quite; we didn't have a plunger, a plastic tablecloth or mold. So, with all that said I will say this!!!! NEVER AGAIN and beware.

Sorry Mr. Vaughn. From the room rate, you came during a very busy time, and, a day early, so rooms on the river would all have been booked. I'm sorry you had a hard time with your tours. We don't have anything to do with that. We tried our best to get you in for a stay with a sudden date change. We have housekeeping staff available 24-7. We have very little complaints about our rooms. Scott Reisland-Manager
