Our furnace went out Friday night while we were sleeping so we called on Saturday morning to have them come to fix it. He came at 9 and was only here for 30 minutes and put in a new pressure switch. We were charged $366 for that visit which I understand was absolutely justified considering it was a weekend. Our furnace didn’t even work for a day after that. Thankfully, the weather was warmer those days. We waited until Monday to have a friend come look at it and he noticed a clog but was unable to help fix it. Tuesday was our child’s birthday so we weren’t able to call to have it fixed then. We called them again on Wednesday to come back out. The tech removed the clog which took an hour and a half and we were charged another $250 for this visit. My husband reached out after that visit to see if we could get a partial refund but because they did install a new switch, we weren’t able to get a refund. We’re just really upset that more due diligence wasn’t taken the first trip to our house to find the actual problem so we could’ve saved time and money. We missed out on an event that we had planned for a long time to have it fixed all for the furnace to go out less than a day later. Overall, the techs were kind and we appreciate them fixing our furnace but we’re just not happy with our experience.

Hi Brooke, there were two issues going on and on the first visit we found that the pressure switch had failed due to a condensation drain line that was plugged up which can be caused by normal usage and dirt/lint in the environment. On the second trip our technician found rocks and walnuts in your vent piping which can also cause a pressure switch error and failure. As you stated it can take a long time sometimes to resolve multiple issues and in your case a 2nd trip was needed to your home. I do see that our service department do make a substantial adjustment to your service bill with a minimum return trip fee versus a full-service call charge. These guys are the best! Ken consulted with us in a professional, knowledgeable manner, assuring us that they could solve some serious problems related to our boiler and infloor heat. Chris, the installation specialist, was persistent/tireless when installing our updates, even when he encountered unexpected issues. He is a proficient problem solver. I highly recommend! Mitch did a great job getting me options for my estimate and the installers were very courteous as I worked from home for the entire install. They worked around my boiler as an added bonus!
