This company went WAY above normal customer service standards to help me through a very unusual situation of getting not one, but TWO hot water heaters from Lowe's with the same factory defect.  Chris from Hefner was so supportive during this stressful two month ordeal navigating through the warranty options etc.  I ended up with a third unit purchased directly from Hefners which solved all my problems.  Next time they will be my first and only call!

DHP’s team of Richard & Chase did an OUTSTANDING job of getting needed repairs completed on time & on budget! We were faced with an incredibly short window to get repairs done & they really stepped up to make it happen. I cannot recommend them enough. Daniel Hefner Plumbing has been working with my companies properties for 5 years and we are always satisfied with their work. Their office calls us right away when we send in emails for repairs, they are on the job the next day, sometimes even the same day. They have plumbers with years of experience.

Had my toilet back up downstairs. Slab house with wood floors throughout..nightmare! They sent someone out next day, ran an auger through main line clean out and told me my septic was backing up. One septic guy, state inspector and 5,000$ later. My toilet was still gurgling with just washing a small load of laundry. Call them beck out same guy. Bill. Augered main line again. Didn’t run a camera or anything just to check which I felt unusual considering I just had all the septic work done and still having problems. Toilet flushed so they called it good. Said call me if it happens again. Low and behold it did days after. Bill came out a 3rd time this time finally with a camera. ROOTS in my main line. Came back a 4th time and used a water jet. Toilets flushed and all is well since. My issue is had they diagnosed the problem correctly and the first time I’d probably still have 5,000$ in my pocket. Septic actually wasn’t backing up come to find out. Was roots hanging everything up. Was told by bill the charge for running a camera and the water jet would be 150$ each. My bill was 941$! I was being charged for them to rent a camera, an auger fee and 250$ to rent a water jet! None of this was ever run by me during entire process. I would not pay for a company to rent equipment to do jobs they professionally claim to do. Girl on the phone was not helpful or considerate with my issue of the bill. She told me bill did make a note that it would be 150$ for water jetting but that their bill lady must of missed it and that’s why it was an extra 100$ on my bill. Human error I was told! What kind of company making 900+$ off of 1 1/2 hours total of work doesn’t keep a camera on their truck. I would have saved 2 service trips which cost my time and theirs. Bill was nice and prompt which is contradicting to the company but I would not recommend them to anyone!

Was estimated $275 for a job, but charged $440 even though not all the quoted work was performed. They didn't tell me when they'd be able to do the work.  I had to call multiple days to see when they were coming. They randomly show up one day to do the work claiming my phone number wasn't on file. Guy left our house smelling like an ashtray. They only accept cash or check.  I tried supporting a local business, but this entire process was an absolute nightmare.

Daniel Hefner Plumbing was referred to me by a friend.  All initial contact was good.  Appointment was made for afternoon between 1 & 5 pm.  After not hearing from anyone by 2:45 pm, I called and was told by Steve at the office that they were on the job before me and should be getting to my job shortly.  No word so at 5:30 pm, we called and were told by some woman named Barbara that they were working on a water line break and supposedly Steve in their office wouldn’t know about it.  I know problems come up but a call explaining why no one showed up after I sat waiting all afternoon would have been nice.  It’s called customer service.  We told them to take our job off and we’ve found someone else who did show up and texted when he was on his way.  Sad that no one at Hefner eve tried to follow up at all.  I wouldn’t refer them to anyone.  My friend who referred them was very disappointed on all this too.  There are better and more responsive plumbers out there who actually care about their customers!

I work here and have worked here for years.  My great grandfather started plumbing in Charlotte in 1919 and this business has been in my blood since.  Our family has always sought to bring the best service and value to this market possible.  We are not the biggest company in the city, but our legacy has been here for a long time.  We hope to continue to serve Charlotte and the surrounding areas with the same dedication that my great grandfather started with almost 100 years ago.

Taking care of Charlotte for over 50 years most of family in the business would not use anyone else

This experience with Chris and Logan should be ten star if it were possible.  How many people really know anything about water heaters,   or about the most recent products that better answer the customer's needs ? Well, your company sent me , not a product, but professional customer service that was more important at the moment. My questions were answered with patience, knowledge that was obvious, and his desire to get me happy with hot water again. In this day and time, customer service of that caliber is appreciated......as it is not always found in the sales forces today. And, more importantly,.....my wife is happy. So, I will absolutely recommend your company for similar needs. Thank you. Gary Levinson

Called in the early morning for services and said they would show up. Waited 5 hours, got a call saying he was overbooked so too bad. What kind of service is that?
