  This loses a star because my appointment was at 10 am, and the plumber did not show up until mid-afternoon. I understand that some jobs run much longer than the estimated time, but they could have rearraigned the schedule to get another plumber. But I also must say that when he finally did arrive, he did a quality job and did it quickly for a reasonable price. So I have no complaints whatsoever about the plumber and the job he did.

  The plumber quickly recognized that I needed a new faucet (which I had ready to go). He said it would be a big job to install and wanted $460 for labor. I doubted it was a big job and said that was way too much and I would just do it myself. He then started haggling (which had not been my aim) and offered to do it for $335 so I reluctantly agreed thinking maybe it was in fact a big job. Sure enough, it was not a big job and it only took him one hour. I said $335 sounds like a lot for 1hr of labor. And then he offered to charge the hourly rate which is apparently $290/hr! They probably have lots of different plumbers so other people may have gotten a more ethical one than I did. He did install the faucet properly at least.

  I've used Caton's for everything from broken supply & waste lines, frozen pipes within the house, Pressure Relief Valves, to drain cleaning & pipe replacement. Everytime I know I can depend upon them for great service. This time, Dave explained what he was going to do prior to the service and then very efficiently performed a high quality repair. Nice to know that Caton's is around to take care of all my plumbing needs.
