Would never use a company that has to enforce that they are woman owned. Do care if a man or woman owns it but am offended by the owner that has to say woman owned, like it matters to anyone. Since the owner does absolutely nothing for customers.

We purchased a home with a ‘rented’ softener over 15yrs ago. Before the ownership ‘transfer’. Since said transfer, their ONLY communication was our monthly bill & annual rate increase. 3yrs in a row I called & requested they either bring an updated unit (to justify the rate increase, as my 15yr old unit did not); inspect the current unit & if it was fine, I’d pay the same rate I’d been paying; or come pick it up. 3yrs in a row, nothing happened. I kept paying the rate I’d been paying. Crickets until the next rate increase. Year 3, I spoke with the new owner. 15+yr customer - I literally sent you monthly money for NOTHING your entire ‘ownership’ & I was greeted with … brusk indifference. I’m being kind. It was worse. Regardless, she said she’d “look into things” & call me back. Never did. I started shopping for a new unit; unfortunately, it was a month before Covid. In the midst of it, my old crusty softener died. Let’s be real - it hadn’t been serviced/touched in 10yrs & probably died long ago… but it leaked. I called again. She didn’t say, “You are a lease customer - We’ll bring you a replacement straight away!” Bc that’s literally what I’ve been requesting & what my MONTHLY FEES are paying to ensure. Nope. She said, “We don’t even fix those anymore.” Shocker. “What do you want us to do.” I said “can you tell me the cost to purchase one like it & come get this?” They didn’t. I called so many times, “seriously, come get this thing.” Nothing. Finally, “I’m going to leave it on your lawn.” Suddenly a technician was available. HE was awesome. Sometime later a salesman came by - he was ALSO awesome. I didn’t know until later that I’d been speaking to the owner - I thought someone at the desk was having a bad day/time/life? I can’t remember if I learned it from the service or sales guy, but I was appalled. She owes a great deal to those 2 gentlemen - they alone made me want to continue my business another 15yrs. Sadly, she could care less, so I didn’t

We are so happy we went with Canney’s. It’s been 4 years and we haven’t regretted one day. The service is the best. Our drinking water is amazing and I love how the softened water makes my skin feel so soft after a shower. Thank you Canney’s The Bard’s in East Leroy
