First of all they claim to reply right away to emergencies-they don’t. It took them 3 days to get back to us. We had sewage running everywhere and their solution was to pump the tank for a whopping $500. It was a quick fix because they were to busy to find the real problem. They said it was the baffling (they assumed) and they couldn’t do that right now. Within a month or so we had sewage running everywhere Again! We begged them to fix this ASAP-they didn’t call back for three days. When they finally called back they said it would be a couple of weeks before they could help us. I called ROYAL FLUSH and they came right out -found and fixed the problem and only charged us $160. It wasn’t the baffling-the pipes were plugged. I also heard that BEST sucks at doing baffling. I called BEST and ask for a portion of the whopping $500 that they charged us. They refused. I called again-they refused.

I called Best Septic after calling around for quotes to have my system fixed. They were very professional and set up an appointment to come look at my system. They explained what they would have to do and the process and the cost was reasonable considering what had to be done. Everyone that I've spoken to or had to interact with from this company was very professional and very nice. I will definitely refer them to anyone who needs their services.

"WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE" When I contacted this business to ask how much it would cost me to have my septic tanked pumped at a home I own in Eugene they replied "$475 to $575 depending on the size of the tank. As the tank was buried I asked if there was an additional charge for digging. I was told there would be a $100 digging fee. They did a great job in that they came out that day, dug up the tank, pumped it, then buried it again. The next week when I received the bill it was for $855 instead of the $600 I expected. The itemized bill showed I was charged $500 for pumping, $200 for digging, and $180 for back flushing the tank. A promotional discount of $25 reduced the bill to $855. I called to get an explanation and was told that I was charged $500 for pumping, $200 for digging as the tank was two feet underground, and $180 for back flushing because it had been so long since the tank had been pumped that the hardened sediment at the bottom of the tank had to be flushed out with water. First point: I was clearly told the digging fee was $100. If I'd known it was going to be $200 I would have dug it up myself. By the way, the tank was actually only 15 inches down, not two feet. I went back and dug it up to measure it. Second point: The back-flushing charge may be justified but I should have been told about the possibility of it. I didn't know it had been 14 years since this tank had been pumped. I've only owned the property for four years so I had no idea how long it had been since the tank had been pumped. Best Septic Pumping knew but didn't inform me that this may involve an extra charge. Final point: Customers don't like surprises. If Best Septic Pumping is not going to honor it's quote and add extra charges on their bill then I won't be using their service again.
