  We had just had a new water heater installed but we were still having issues. We had cold water but no hot water in the 2nd floor bathroom and the 1st floor kitchen had no water at all. Jerrold was our service tech this time, friendly polite and efficient. He was also kind and patient with our cats who were curious and kept trying to get his attention. Jerrold checked everything over; the new water heater, the plumbing, the shut off valves, the faucets, and the water pressure. I also introduced him to our crazy plumbing (a weird combination of galvanized pipe, iron pipe and plastic PVC that zigzags all over the basement). He mentioned we had low water pressure and that 90% of the time the cause of that was old plumbing that was not in good shape. He also stated that there were probably blockages in the pipes caused by sediment and corrosion in the pipes that came loose when the new water heater was installed. He recommended we replace all the plumbing especially since several pipes were already showing signs of oxidation which could lead to possible leaks in the future. We asked Jerrold to have the office email us an estimate and then we would go from there. Although this was not the outcome we were hoping for, we still appreciate his letting us know. We were also very happy with the service.

  As a first time homeowner I was concerned when my water heater started to smell like it was burning at 8pm. I called Benjamin Franklin and was transferred to Richard who was on call. He was very helpful and walked me through safely shutting off my water heater. The next day Richard and Alex(I think) came and installed a new water heater, a filter for the water going in, and proper shutoff valves for my gas and water lines. They were very professional, clean, efficient and had answers to all my questions. I can safely say I will be calling if I ever need a plumber again. I would definitely recommend for any plumbing needs!

  My technician was great and super helpful with recommendations, nothing bad to say about the service. The only issue I have is with the price. I paid $640 just for unfreezing a pipe. This seems ridiculously high for nothing actually being repaired.
