  Better business bureau of Lubbock is simply horrible for businesses. I was able to raise my rating to an A+ by paying more money and this was told to me by Greg Linder, the CEO. It’s all based off the amount of customers you have, he said. So just tell me you have more customers and your rating will go up. And so did my bill. Greg Linder needs to be removed from that office. The BBB of Lubbock is corrupt and is simply driven for money and profits. Potentially the worst rain company and all of Lubbock. Do not be a member of the BBB of Lubbock.

  Mr. Anderson, I've looked up your name in our system, and we only have one business file with the name Gerald Anderson associated with it. The last contact between BBB and that business was on June, 11 2018. At that point in time, information was updated, which resulted in the rating adjusting up to an A+ on June 22, 2018. At no time during any of that contact did any money changes hands. We did not receive one dime from it. Our dues are based on the number of employees, not customers. We have no record of a business being a member with a contact name of Gerald Anderson. Nor have we ever had a member business with a Gerald Anderson as a contact. As I have no knowledge or record of a contact with the business file bearing your name, or any other contact with a person named Gerald Anderson for business related issues, my fear is that you might have been the victim of a scam using my name and the BBB name. If the contact that you are referencing was more recent than June of last year, please check your credit card or bank account that you used to pay, if you paid anything. You might need to take steps to mitigate a possible issue with your account information being used without your consent. Nothing that you described here sounds like how we operate our local BBB here in Lubbock. If the caller specifically said that their name was Greg Linder, understand that is was not me. My information is on our site, and it would be very easy for someone to find out, and use my name. We were notified last week by a business that someone was calling, and alleging that they worked for BBB. They were attempting to scam people out of money. That's an unfortunate side of having a widely recognized brand. It makes us a target for having our name used fraudulently. Please check on your accounts if you gave out any financial or personal information. Greg

  My family and I had the worse experience staying at the Hawthorn Suites in Lubbock. Called several months ago to confirm room availability and room rates (although) they quoted one rate, at check-out...they doubled it! The window shades were broken and could not be raise and at night, you could hear every car/truck on the adjacent HIGHWAY. Good luck getting a descent night sleep! PS: As a business person, I visit LBB regularly and this is an establishment to skip!!!!!

  Contracted with Jone & Associates to custom install steel siding with insulation on 4 gables of my house. Minor communication on type of siding initially, however situation was handled very professionally, and desired siding was ordered with no additional costs incurred. Installers were very professional in responding to any of my questions and replaced sheets that were not fitting properly. Installation and Clean up were completed professionally with minimal disruption to us. Upon completion, we received a substantial refund with an explanation that initial estimate was overstated. This is the type of company that you want to do business with.
