TLDR: These guys aren't experts and sold me an overpriced wrong product to what I was asking for. As someone brand new to owning a house with a well I came in today hoping for some advice and guidance as to what brand of salt is needed for my water softener and how much is typically used. Due to COVID they're not allowing people in the building so I called the store and explained I needed assistance and asked if they could take a look at a photo of the exact softener I have and guide me through what I need next. The guy said he could help then came outside to explain to me that he just sold the stuff and really knew nothing about it but knew which one was my softener and that they had the salt for it and that it would be $15 for a 50lbs bag. Not knowing anything I agreed and they gave me the bag. I left with in a hurry to run other errands I had and should have done more research admittedly. You hope that those who work in a place like this wont just sell you something for the sake of taking your money and actually know what they're selling you and why it'll help solve your problem. I get home only to find the salt they gave me was for melting ice on sidewalks and the salt I needed is typically $5. Putting this in my softener and drinking that water could have sent me to the hospital as well as ruined my plumbing. I live 35min out from everything. I'm not driving all the way back for a refund I'll just use it next year when it snows. Unless you're a plumber or have good experience and research under your belt I wouldn't trust these guys to lead you in the right direction.

Mr. Owner, I'm going to give you my honest experience. I've probably been in your store thee times. Twice, no counter person. The last time I was there I just stood there and waited. There was a lady at a desk in clear view of the counter and me. Eventually she raised her head and said something to the effect am I being helped. haha. So she apparently tore some guy from his desk (?) or whatever he was doing. Clearly he was annoyed. I needed some underground tubing for my well connection. He starts spouting off codes, rush, rush, clearly annoyed.....I went home and photographed the tubing, which had none of the codes on it that he mentioned. Spoke to another guy and got the tubing. Sorry to be a bother. I'm now looking for a power vent hot water heater.....hmmmm....what was the store mentioned in one of the other reviews?

Michael I’m extremely disappointed by your experience and that’s obviously not what we like to hear. Customer service is the most important thing to us and it’s what we are known for so when someone complains about it we take it extremely serious. There’s obviously so much competition in today’s business and the one way we try to separate ourselves is by having better customer service than anyone. I can’t change the experience you had, but I’d like to make it up to you and would appreciate another chance if you are up to it. You can call me directly or come into the office and ask for Michael. I’d like to give you a discount on your heater if you’re open to it. Hope you have a better experience next time.

Been around a long time and they know their plumbing parts and material and prices. Quality at affordable prices. Maybe even better than depot sometimes maybe not all the times. But any plumbing supply house especially Atlantic sells only the best quality. Only code approved materials, faucets, valves, tubs, shower pans Nothing in Home Depot would make it through plumbing inspections because it’s all garbage. Well some stuff will pass but shouldn’t. There faucets are plastic and last 2 yrs. A lil bit more you can buy a faucet that will last 30 yrs from supply house.
