Ameriplumb was assigned to me by the Home Warranty Company. This was strange, since I live an hour away, but I called the company to request an appointment. John told me that he would come down in the evening to review my case (a serious leak from the 2nd floor bathroom). I'm writing a review because of two problems. First, he never came to my house and did not contact me to cancel (so I waited for 3 hours for him). Second, when I called the home warranty office the next morning they contacted John and he lied to them, saying that I had cancelled his visit. Maybe he is a good plumber (I don't know), but I have to let you know that he was not honest or professional with me.

Ameri-Plumb was the contractor that I had to use through my home warranty company and it was a terrible experience. I had an "emergency case" because the plumbing issue I had was in the only full bathroom I have in my house. The issue was that the valve broke in the hot water faucet handle in my tub/shower but also had to replace some of the piping. I was told I was going to hear from them within the next 24 hours and I didn't so I called to schedule them to come out. They were supposed to come out the next day, between 3:30-4:30pm. Well 6pm rolls around and they still haven't shown up. I received a call that his boss provided him the wrong phone number... Anyway, we rescheduled for 9am the next morning. The guy didn't actually show up until 10:15am and had his girl friend with him. After figuring out the issue, he gave my a quote at $385. Ten minutes later, he receives a call from his boss who then said it was $502. Not cool! After the guy gave me the quote, he then had to collect a service fee of $60, but they never said it had to be cash or a check. So I had to run to the bank and get cash out because they aren't with the times and don't take debit/credit cards. Day of installment, the guy was only 25 minutes later than estimated and the work seems to have been done well but he left a mess. He didn't clean up well at all so now I'm cleaning up his mess and my original (1924) wood floors are scratched from his tools, as well as I believe he cracked one of my tiles in my bathroom. I would never recommend using this company! Thankfully I'm fortunate to work from home and didn't have to take 4 days off.

One of the worst companies I've ever had the displeasure of working with. Ameriplumb was selected by my home warranty company to fix a broken spa tub. After taking a half day off work for my appointment, they failed to show up. The next time (also after taking a half day off work) they were late, so I called the office, only to find out I wasn't on their schedule yet again. This time they came out anyway (2 hours after their 4 hour window had closed) and collected my $100 deductible. From there it was phone call after phone call to try and get them out to actually make the repair. My warranty expired and I never got the tub fixed. They were quick to cash that check, though. FRAUD!
