The contractor has poor communication skills, often accepting jobs initially and pushing them farther and farther back, with zero rescheduling. Calls and texts go unanswered and unreturned. His reply’s are often ‘I’ll call you back tonight! / I’ll be ready tomorrow’ and yet he doesn’t call back or even answer his own calls, nor does he respond to messages for the day after, when he said he’d be ready. Bottom line. The contractor doesn’t communicate. I spent 2 weeks trying to lock a day in for my job being told ‘tomorrow, next week’ etc.... I ended up calling someone else. Don’t waste your time with this guy.

Description of work: Dan Reisdorph, the owner of the company installed a new furnace. It didn't work for over a month and I kept trying to get him out to repair the installation. Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Potential! He did not install the flue correctly and glue the PVC pipes. When I asked why they are not glued, he said "in the industry we leave them that way in case we have to get back at them later." That's not all! Not only did id pose a threat to us and our family and any guest of potential Death, the installation was completely incorrect! Since i had a lot of time waiting for him I read the installation manual from start to finish. As a novice (this is not my profession) I noticed 3 things wrong with the installation and what might be causing the furnace to not start. I contacted the manufacturer and they recommended that I get a certified installer there and they recommended another company. So I had the certified company look at the installation and they found numerous other issues with the install. 1. Did not install high altitude orifices 2. Did not install high altitude pressure switch 3. Did not glue together the outflow pipe (could touch it and it fell apart causing carbon monoxide to escape into the house) Dan mentioned to me that “they don’t glue them so they can access them later if needed.”- the town inspector stated that was completely incorrect! 4. Inflow and outflow pipes in manual are to be 3” in diameter, he installed 2” pipes 5. Inflow and outflow piped in manual are to be min 3” in height apart at the termination, he installed directly next to each other 6. did not properly connect the condensate from the inducer housing and vent, if left unrepaired, it will cause water to fill up in inducer housing, causing severe rusting of the inducer assembly, and potentially heat exchanger damage or failure due to water being introduced into places it should not be 7. installed condensate pump on incorrect side of furnace, and is blocking access for filter replacement 8. Set the 2 stage furnace to one stage incorrectly (which is one reason I bought it- for the two stage). 9. Duct-taped two clear tubes together to get the length needed to drain condensate pump rather than using the correct length of pipe- the inspector also said that was against code! I won a judgment against him in Summit County Court due to his obvious incorrect installations and he refused to pay his debt still to this day!
