The came out to the house and three days later I get a call I need to pay 743 to bring the replacement water heater up to code. Not only was it a scam, but then their dispatch says she doesn't know why I have to pay 743 in addition to American Home Shield paying. Aside from American Home Shield being a horrible homeowners insurance regarding processing time and response time, These guys who are also known as HIGHWAY Plumbing is HIGHWAY thiefs. The Water Heater is less than 12 years old and there is no corresion and the lines are all up to code; BUT THEY HAVE TO CHANGE EVERYTHING TO MAKE UP TO CODE. Had another company come in and NOTHING needed to be 'UPGRADED"! I hate when small businesses try to scam. that is just stupid

My hot water heater stopped working so I called my insurance company and they sent out Ability Access Plumbing and Rooter. They did showed up on time and only looked at the water heater and just said you need a new one. I have insurance for the repairs however they stated that many of their items they had to do were called modification which the insurance would not cover. Yes they only want to make money (example $45 to move two straps up 4 inches, $95 to install two flex supplies lines, $75 for a ground wire and $55 for spacers which was two boards screwed to the wall.) They did put in a brand new water heater however it didn't work. I called them the next morning (Friday) and they said to call my insurance company to request a call back. I did and they said they would come out on Monday. Well Monday morning they called and said they were not going to come and that I had to call the manufacturer to have them fix it. They wouldn't stand behind their work. I call another plumbing company when they arrived they fixed it in 15 minutes. The upper heating eliminate was burned up because Ability Access Plumbing and Rooter turned on the power to the water heater before the tank was full of water which fried the heating eliminate. Very bad company to do business with. I recommend that you stay away from them unless you want to loose money.

We are VERY dissatisfied customer. As, a home owner you pay for quality companies & employee's to come out and a do a service through your home warranty. Instead, we recieved a technician who could NOT do his job, misdiagnosed, did NOT order our part and hung up on G&E since our hot water heater fell under their warranty. We went another week without HOT WATER for our minor children. NOT once did this company call back follow through to see if their technician did a good job or fixed the problem. $100.00 was paid to our home warranty company where this plumbing company ripping people off and NOT fixing the problem at all. What to come back out and be charged another fee for the part that was NOT even broken. 2 weeks without HOT WATER all together. I would NOT refer this company to NOBODY!!
