My blower wasn’t working and would over heat n shutdown. This lil compressor looked a little fried but read within range and was assured not the issue. For $955 to replace my fan motor. And not even offering to take off the 129 service call off that 955$ bill. I called around and found a replacement compressor for 20$ brought it home and My Fan Kicked on ! I will never call The Good Neighbor again. Feel very taken advantage of.

      Response from the owner

We are sorry that you were unhappy with our quote. Our prices are set by the industry standard. Our cost of service does entail more then just simple parts and labor as there are other costs that are needed to operate our company legally and to provide our guarantees. We are happy that your system is working again and do recommend yearly maintenance to prevent future issue like this from occurring. If you have any questions about our work/service we kindly ask that you give us a call as we are more then happy to explain our diagnosis's and prices.

Furnace stopped working again for the 2nd time in 4 years. Called good neighbor who installed furnace they charged me 516 dollars to change a 9 dollar part that took about 20 min to change when called them out on It i was told I was stupid and don't know anything. Told them they were stealing from people the owner told me not to call them and he hoped my house burned down. Over priced and No itemization on billings give u a number and want u to pay with out question.

      Response from the owner

Mr. Pettit called prior to 8AM with a "no heat" situation and a truck was dispatched to him within the hour. Mr. Pettit agreed to the $129 service call fee. The technician arrived, diagnosed the issue and gave Mr. Pettit's wife a complete price prior to any work being done. She approved and instructed the technician to proceed with the repair. The part needing replacement has a temperature safety built in that prevents a dangerous situation such as fire. This part requires an exact temperature matching OEM (original equipment) part. This required the tech to drive to a parts distributor, purchase the part then get back to the house, install the part, and run the furnace to test the system for proper operation. These costs were all quoted in the price approved by the customer. After completing the repair as agreed and the heat was filling the home with nice, warm air again (within two hours of his call), Mr. Pettit launched his first complaint. He was upset that we didn't have the part on our truck. I explained this was a very specific part and that it is impossible to stock every part for every furnace on a truck, however, we did secure the part in a very timely manner and got his heat back on for him. Mr. Pettit was then berating us that our company ripped him off and then he threatened to tarnish our company through bad reviews as shown above. I told him I was no longer interested in doing business with him and that he should call someone else in the future. I never told Mr. Pettit that I hoped his house would burn down. I told him the reason we needed that specific part was because it is temperature controlled to shut his furnace off and keeps his house from burning down. I am sorry Mr. Pettit is upset. I realize that costs are up and it's getting harder on all of us. All of our customers know exactly what the price of the work will be before we ever begin a repair and we always stick to that price no matter how long it takes us to do the repair or what issues we may run into during our time there. It is referred to as "up front pricing" which never incurs overtime or any additional costs. The price quoted is the price paid.
