Do your research first. They call themselves the honest experts. Honest, maybe. Experts No, at least when it comes to common sense. I told Jim when he came out that we had no hot water in our bathroom sink and no water at all in our shower. He told me that we needed a new cartridge for the shower faucet. Told me what the price was, which I believe is over priced. Told him I would think about it. Glad I did because he never bothered to check to...to see if the water was going to the shower head. If he did, he would have noticed that the aerator needed cleaning. I did not need a new cartridge. I did the repair myself saving over $200 dollars. As for the hot water in my sink, that is just a water line that needs to be changed. We will be doing the repair ourselves. An honest and experienced plumber starts with the simplest solution first, instead of the most expensive.

Called and told them what brand faucet I have and asked if they could change the broken cartridge I have. Told me sure, we’ll come take a look. So they did - and they tell me they ever heard of the brand of faucet we have even though I told them over the phone. He capped the shower so we could turn the water back on. Was here for less then 10 minutes and way over charged us for what he did. Will never ever use them again. Then when we asked him if he would come back and put the cartridge on if we got the correct one - he said “yeah for a full amount of a service call”. I told them when I called what brand we had and they knew full well that they couldn’t help us and he came anyways and scammed us. Any honest person would have told me over the phone they couldn’t help. I called other plumbers and they all said they couldn’t help so when this guy said sure I’ll come over after knowing the brand - and scammed us out of money. Don’t do business with these people!!!

customer called at 5:30 pm and said they had a leaking shower faucet, and that they had shut off the water to the whole house. The customer had no idea what brand the faucet was. When we arrived, customer confessed that they had tried to repair it themselves with parts from Ferguson Supply and insisted they were given the wrong parts. There was no name on the faucet, nor did the customer identify the faucet brand, but insisted that it came from Ferguson Supply. I told them that I didn't shop at Ferguson, and I capped the shower faucet, in order to turn the main water supply valve back on, and allow them to fart around w/ faucet repair while still having water to the rest of the house. The home was worth 3/4 of a million dollars. I charged them $140 for capping the faucet so that they could turn on the main for the rest of the house. And these people feel I scammed them out of $140 for my time (after hours) to get them water!! Meanwhile, the husband was happy to peel off $140 from a huge wad of cash he pulled from his pocket. The brand of the faucet is still unknown, and unidentified. The other plumbers they may have called likely told them they would charge $500 to even set foot in their home. Customer never asked about what we charged for a service call---although we are the lowest price around. $140 for a service charge, after hours, at a $750,000 house, is a gift, not a scam.

Jim and Patty are a wonderful couple, a lot of plumbing experience and attention to detail. My project was complex and I took my time to choose the right company. They installed a full new basement bathroom and bar plumbing including sewage pump, drainage, water supply, vent lines and routed everything very professionally. They even went out of their way and fixed my main sewer line level because the angle wasn't correct. They did not take any short cuts and provided professional recommendations. very honest in their work. The only issue I had with them is the schedule, the project as I mentioned is complex and took several days, on a few occasions they couldn't show up or showed up late, but it was due to flu season and covid pandemic. luckily I had flexibility on timelines so it wasn't a big deal for me. Be sure to get a start/end date commitment if you hire them for a big project. I will use them again and recommend them.

My wife and I both enjoyed working for you, Ben. You paid us a competitive rate and you paid us half after the first day of work, and the remainder, you paid promptly when the job was done and after you were completely satisfied. Most of the time that we weren't at your house, we were out shopping for the specific proper materials, to complete your work most efficiently, such time spent picking out pipe and fittings and delivering them to the job, is all part of the time required to complete the work, and billable or figured into the price. I do recall that I was sick with the flu for a day or two. But I called Ben at 7:00 a.m. on both of those days to explain that we couldn't get there. Therefore we did not waste any of your time,., waiting home for us. We were in constant contact everyday via mobile phone and text messages. We specialize in repair and remodeling work, and have many satisfied regular clients. We also do emergency work and occasionally some can't wait. and must be done 1st. If we have a busy schedule, then usually we will only make a temporary emergency repair. In order to complete our daily planned agenda. Yes some days we run late but my phone is always in my shirt pocket next to my heart. And I nearly always answer the phone personally --24/7 so that we can update our ETA. Repair plumbers are not like Carpenters or electricians who don't get emergency calls. They don't have to work after hours, or have to rearrange their schedule several times a day to make sure that everyone has sinks to use and toilets to flush, and by the end of the day we make it to all our clients homes. Repair jobs have to be completed. We can't leave our customers without water or a toilet and sink to use, just because it's time to go home. Carpenters and electricians can leave unfinished work till the next day. And they usually have a schedule they can stick to. Repair plumbers start early and have no idea how many jobs are going to have to be at on any certain day. Repair plumbers often work overtime racing the clock to try to get home before bedtime. Our job's not finished until the water's back on and the toilet works. Repair plumbers are a strange special breed of contractor.
