I would strongly recommend against using this company. Due to the scheduled closing on my property, I was on a tight schedule for repairs to my leach field. K&A's bid, received after the intended closing date, was $22,500, and they would not itemize the bid when asked. I ended up having the same work done by another reputable contractor for $7,000 less. I felt their bid was both exorbitant and exploitative.

My wife and I had an extremely difficult time working with this company for our leach field installation. First of all, the job was supposed to be completed in mid November, and it is now mid March and we are finally finished with everything after filing a complaint with the BBB. Communication was vague, misleading, false, or non-existent throughout the entire process, and the lack of respect and professionalism was very frustrating to deal with. We would consistently get laughed at by the owner, Gary, when we would ask questions like when would they start, when they would finish, etc. I could rarely get a hold of the owner, and never got a phone call, text, or email back when we left a message. We eventually had to call from different phone numbers, or go through our realtor, to even get a response. When nearing completion, the owner demanded for payment, when he himself said there was still 3-4 more hours of work left. When we said we wouldn't pay until the work was done, he scoffed at us, then demanded we bring the money to him or he would put a lien on our house. This company was extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend them.

K&A’s contract was with the Seller of this property, not the buyer, Mr. Cary. There was No completion date on the contract because the Seller knew that there were some projects ahead of theirs. The black water was a result of the set-backs required by the county. Mr. Cary and his girlfriend Amanda were notified immediately to protect their dogs. Amanda threatened to sue K&A on this 1st day. The Seller was to remove the fence post. Did not happen. The old and weathered post broke when we tried to remove it to move in equipment. The new owner, Mr. Cary and his girlfriend Amanda, held up payment until K&A made restoration for the fense post and other issues that were NOT in the contract with their Sellers.

This company is very unprofessional. Did not return calls and no communication during the process. Had 90 days per the county to replace the septic (starting Nov. 15) has yet to finish the job. Flooded our back yard with "black water" the first day replacing the septic (froze at nights since it's winter time). Did not communicate this with us until we got home after work to find our backyard flooded. Ignored our calls when we tried to find out what was going on. Only answered when we called on a different line (with a number he didn't recognize). Wanted the money before the job was finished and stated "Wheres the rest of my money? What do you think, i'm going to take it and run?" when they had already received half up front. They didn’t have the right tools twice (took three separate times) to set up the alarm in the electrical switch box. Told us to leave our garage open/unlocked so he could go in (who would do that!). They broke our vinyl fence, left trash all over the yard, ran over one of our drainage pipes and solar lights (breaking both), didn't rebury another drainage pipe that they destroyed in the process of the new septic. Laughed and mocked at us when we would ask questions. Took more than 5 months to do the job (and actually never finished). There is no warranty at all through this company. I would never recommend this company. Do not waste your time with them, they are just going to steal your money! Edit: the response from the owner is inaccurate. He lied about the completion date. We were specifically told that it would be completed within 90 days as this is the requirement by the county. The black water was because he didn’t know what he was doing and cut into the old septic line. He did not notify us. We came home from work to see that our backyard was flooded with sewer water and poop and had to call him to find out what was going on. We did call the county due to the sewer in our backyard and having dogs and children in our neighborhood. As for the fence we have a white vinyl fence and he broke it by using a backhoe and a chain to pull it off (very professional considering these fences can be dismantled very easily). It completely broke the top level of the fence. His professionalism was nonexistent. We did hold the money until the job per the contract was complete. The only way we were able to get anything complete and fixed was by filing a complaint with the BBB and at this point he was at our house the next day to finish the job and gave him his check. I would never recommend this company to anyone and everyone should do their diligence before hiring him. He is a fraud and does not tell the truth when the comments expose his faults.
