  I applied for a position with Axsom. I called and talked to Todd. I explained who I was and that I was looking to do an apprenticeship somewhere. I gave him my background. He was excited to setup a time and meet. I was going out of town. I explained that we could meet sometime Monday when I returned. He said he was pretty busy but would reach out to me on Sunday to set something up. Monday comes and haven’t received a phone call from Todd. I gave him a call and left him a voicemail. Two weeks later I received a call from Todd, wanting to do an interview later in the week. We agreed to interview on that Thursday. Wednesday the day before my interview. Todd calls and says I have some free time today if you can make it. He says I have to leave here at 515pm. It’s already after 415pm. I hustle down for the interview. Todd liked what he sees. He asked if I could start next week. That he’d like to give me a shot for about a week. Then we can both touch base and see if I was a good fit for the job and so I. I agreed to do so. This would allow me to see first hand the job. I would be able to see if it’s for me or not. Well it’s the 4th July weekend. I’m coming home from camping thinking I have a new start to my career. I get a phone call from Todd. He states he wants to hold off on me starting. He hired a new guy with experience. If he doesn’t workout. He will give me a call. Boom a slap in the damn face. If this is any indication how they do business. Then I don’t want no part of this company.

  I have worked with numerous plumbers in town and never had the unprofessional treatment and price gouging of Axsom-Franke Plumbing. Someone else called them for the job but I was the one that got to deal with them. They did not do what I asked and cursed me when I questioned them. Then when I got the bill of $892 for a DRAIN CLEANING and called to have Todd explain the bill he cursed at me and hung up the phone. I am a professional in town and he even threatened to leave a negative review if I didn't pay. I paid him $500 and now he is taking me to small claims court for the remaining $392. This will be a first for me but I feel strongly that this is an act of principal on my part. I don't want this happening to anyone else. UPDATE: We ended up going to small claims court on the matter. Axsom-Franke fought for the remaining money they felt owed PLUS court fees. The court ruled in my favor and I had to pay nothing more, proving they were in the wrong.
