HEADS UP RECREATORS AND VISITORS: Primitive camping is only available from April 1 - October 31 and there is a 7 day limit. Between November 1 - March 31 Giles French Park is only open for day use recreation - sunrise to sundown per Army Corps park rangers.

Rufus is a great spot for a rest with out all the crowds. There is a lot more there than looks like from the road. Nice store and cafe and several motels
