Tucker was persistent to find the origin of the malfunction.
He found a couple unusual low volt wires that were shorting out. These wires caused a couple other failures. All damaged parts were replaced.

Although the 2 service techs were very able and proficient it appears to me that since the original Company sold out these techs⁹ were working on commission,  trying to up sell me at every opportunity.
I was also charged over the odds for a drain clean. $275, for less than an hours work.
I am a retired Sales Manager and I see exactly what they are doing, used this Company within my family for 20 years, purchased over 8 systems with them so feel now I am being ripped off, need to shop around .

Mr & Mrs Fullwood- thank you for the feedback. We rely on communication from our customers to ensure we provide best in class service and support. I reviewed the call and did see that our technicians were there for 54 minutes. In that time, they noticed an issue with the drain line. They used nitrogen to clear the line to ensure proper flow.

As the new owner ( 2+ years), we have maintained the core values that established Jim McDonald & Sons as a household name. At the core of those values are honesty and integrity. Our role in providing service is to assess the system and offer solutions based on our observations. At no time are these recommendations mandatory. Ultimately it is up to you, the customer, to decide what course to take.

Because of the state of your drain lines, our technicians offered to run new drain lines as a long term fix. This is not required but suggested to avoid additional further issues related to the drain lines. The other recommendation was to install a Reme Halo due to evidence of growth on evaporator coil casing. Again these are recommended to improve the air quality in the home and to help prolong the life of the system but are in no way required.

Our goal is a satisfied customer. We understand the need to shop around and trust that we will continue to earn your business going forward. Thank you for being a valued customer.

Jordan was prompt, professional, smiling, calming and 100% trustworthy.  He immediately figured out the Google Nest device I had purchased was NOT compatible with my Trane Furnace and recommended a path forward on all my cooling questions.  Use these folks as they clearly ROCK this business!!

After giving this company a subpar review initially I have amended my review. The reason for the subpar review, unresponsiveness to a request for a follow up to a problem with an airconditioner installation, appears to have been caused by a misunderstanding and miscomunication, on everyones part.
The owners of McDonald's AC contacted me, in a very professional manner, immediately after becoming aware of the problem. They personally came to my house and resolved the problem, to my satisfaction, with the AC unit. I commend them for caring enough about their company to resolve a problem and not walk away from it.

Mr Koff- thank you for the amended review. I do apologize for the miscommunication but am happy we were able to find a solution to the noise issue. The newer units have the ability to provide more CFM than the older models. An adjustment to the fan speed seems to have resolved the issue.
